At breakfast a couple were leaving their table so my granddaughter and I sat at the table. NO ONE came near to clear it away in the 30 mins we sat there. Along with all the previous dirty dishes we also had our dishes and very little room. We would have had a bigger breakfast but we had no where to put any extra dishes ?. The room had an iron and board but the iron leaked water over my clothes and never really got hot. It was also noisy in the night with noise from banging doors and outside I expected better from the Hilton but Premier Inn is far superior to this particular hotel.

A really nice Hampton Hilton in a central location in York. It was very clean and well looked after. Very good value for money, especially with breakfast included. Special discount for parking (still hideously expensive, but we appreciated that there was a discount provided by the hotel!).

The property is within walking distance from the station which was very convenient. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. It is within walking distance from the Shambles and many restaurants. They provide breakfast which was very good. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Having an AC was a plus during summer. I would recommend this place to everyone.

There could have been more food options at the bar, as when we asked there was only pizza!

We stayed at the Hilton York on two separate nights in June. The first was okay however we left at 3.00am to be picked up for an Austrian tour. When we returned from our tour 10 days later we returned to Hilton York. Being pretty exhausted after our tour we merely wanted to have a couple of drinks and an early night prior to our travel home to Scotland. The hotel appeared to have problems with their Internet and due to the hotel being card payment only - they totally shut the bar. Absolutely disgraceful - it was one point of lager - we offered to pay for this pint the next morning but they refused - I found the staff to be quite arrogant over the situation. The hotel was very expensive for two separate nights - you're on holiday - but cannot get a celebrity drink!! This hotel cannot operate without their wifi and when that fails they shut the bar - an absolutely ridiculous policy!

The price, the rooms and the service and the fact breakfast is included. It's a very convenient location for the railway station and an easy walk into the centre of York. It is also usually a quiet location. Not the fault of the hotel but there were major water works being carried out in the road just near the hotel. As we stayed on a Sunday there were no workmen and no noise but Monday was a different story. Also the road was closed so we couldn't order a taxi direct from the hotel and as the weather was torrential rain dragging cases, whilst trying to hold an umbrella, through flooded streets wasn't great. Hopefully the works will be finished by the time we stay in November.

Super convenient location to train station and local bus stops. Grateful for operative climate control to keep room comfortably cool. Enjoyed second floor room with view of York City bar walls on splendid spring afternoon.

Super convenient location for train station and local bus stops, smooth prepaid check-in. Comfortable clean bed, shower a treat, glad of USB charging ports, and kettle for cuppa in room. Breakfast always good.

Clean and spacious room. Close to the station if the shortcut is taken otherwise it can be a bit of a walk up a hill.

We would have preferred more fresh fruit on the breakfast buffet. The eggs were powdery and did not taste like fresh eggs.
