Very outdated. Mold in bathroom, paint peeling in rooms and dirty carpet.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. Unfortunately, the property was not well maintained, and the condition of the hotel did not match what I expected based on how it was presented when I made the reservation. Do not ever intend on going back.

Full of mold, nasty carpeting, and the stink of every foot to ever cross the threshold of your woefully undercleaned room. The AC is cold, the bed is comfortable after you spend 45 minutes checking for bedbugs, and thats about it. The keycards don't work. Your foot might go through the decking. Or the tub. Or the subfloor. The water pressure is good if you can get it to stay hot. The continental breakfast is stale bagels, instant coffee, warm milk, and maybe cereal. Don't stay here.

For the price it was decent

This stay was by far the worst hotel experience of my life . I arrived 1 hr before check in and asked if it were possible to check in early and was told my suite was ready . The first thing I noticed when I opened the door was a terrible stench . Upon entering I could clearly see the battered and stained sofa and on the other side of the room there were 2 full size beds mind you I booked a 2 bedroom suite . Placing 2 beds in the living room does not make a 2 -bedroom unit . Classic bait and switch !!! After coming to grips with the initial shock of the complete uncleanness of my unit ( stained carpets , mold on the bathroom ceiling , food from previous guests left in pantry , dirty socks on the bedroom floor ) finally I decided to place my beverages and food supplies in the kitchen refrigerator which had the glass missing from the shelves Shocker !!! If the staff needed additional time to clean they should have said so and I would have gladly waited . What's even more shocking is Expedia advertising this below sub par establishment in their listings . The fact that Expedia charged me a fee to book me a stay in this fresh Hell should be a crime against humanity . 5 young children had to endure a weekend stay in this cesspool . Clearly profits outweigh the health safety and well-being of your consumers . Shame on Rodeway inn and suites and shame on you Expedia . Thanks for ruining 5 children's vacation !!!

I was hit in the face by a strong odor the carpet was all wet, there were flies coming into the room. The back patio area had belongings left behind from the previous guests. The outlet in the bedroom didn’t work, there was mold in the front area with the carpet lifting. I put a towel down in the bathtub to bathe my son and I took a shower with shoes on. Walking around the property it is dirty and unkept, there was one storage space area even where you could see a whole thousand colonies of flies and other bug just inside and on the window. I was surprised because I called and asked about an early check in so I could leave my stuff before taking my kids to the beach and they said no as if it was so packed there but there were many vacant rooms, now I know why. I debated to stay somewhere else unfortunately it was non refundable and the other places had no vacancy. We bought air fresheners but it didn’t make any difference at all. The people staying above my room woke up and stampeded out every morning at 6 am for the free breakfast so I thought it was probably good. To my surprise, I show up to find mini muffins, packs of instant oatmeal, watered down juices, and a bunch of bagels, even the bagels were weird as it appeared only the bottom pieces were there. I would definitely never stay here again and if you have kids and toddlers that want to be on the floor then this place isn’t for you. If you like meth, enjoy your stay.

By far the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Extremely disappointing experience.
-
The location is pretty good and we needed a last minute one night stay before our Airbnb was available and this was the only place with vacancy. At ~$300, this is extremely disappointing and not worth it.

Great overall

Room was dirty. Blankets, drapes and carpet had wholes in them. Shower shifted from cold to very hot during use. Tub was dingy. Breakfast selection was very limited. Refrigerator had surface rust on sides and top. Unit was a family suite with no stove.

The room we were initially given, room 117, looked nothing like the rooms pictured on Expedia. It was extremely old and run down, with filthy walls, broken cabinets, a rusty-looking refrigerator, and a strong musty/mildew and smoke smell. My son has asthma and the smell quickly affected his breathing, so we returned to the front desk and explained we could not stay in that room due to a health concern. We were moved to room 115, which was slightly better but still very run down and unclean. The bedding and towels were visibly stained, there appeared to be what looked like blood on the bathroom wall, there were ants in the kitchen area, and food was left on the floor under two of the beds from previous guests. Staff were polite, but we were told the rooms were not what was shown in the photos and that nothing could be done. We were also told room 116 had been closed the day before due to mold issues, yet guests were placed there the following day. We tried to find another hotel that night, but due to peak season there was nothing available nearby at reasonable prices, so we were stuck. This was meant to be a family vacation, but instead we spent it uncomfortable in a room that was not as advertised. Had the listing been accurate, we would never have booked. I have photos documenting the issues

We walked in and walked out. Place was gross. Staff helpful with money back.

The room was terrible had stains on carpets my sons sheet was stained and me and my husband's blanket had burn holes in it. The tub stopper didn't work we had to use wash cloth to clog the drain. Wallpaper was peeling and water stains on walls. The floor behind the bed is extremely dirty. The spiral staircase is Terrible you cant take luggage up and down without falling. Cleaning services should be coming everyday our floor had sand and dirt on it(you are close to the beach). It says on the site with a purchase of this room you get a free crib, they tried to charge us $25 a night and I told them wat the site said so they gave it to us for free which I happy about b.c it looks like the crib was from 1980's and the matress jus had a flat sheet wrapped around(i brought a crib matress sheet jus in case.) Breakfast was bad dried up muffins and stale cereal. No waffles or nothing to fill you up. Do you research about the place before going, talked to other people and they werent happy either.Room service was not very fast about stuff, it took hours to get things. Will not return!!! Very unsatisfied!

It’s a crummy place but it’s cheap, get what ya pay for. Filthy and smelly, would stay again if I had too.
-
The property was an acceptable stay for a beach town during peak tourist season at a great price.
-
It is an Econolodge, they're the same building.
-
They have updated rooms since last summer. Wish pool hours were extended.
-
Great staff. Room is what we needed and clean however, updates are needed. Pool was nice. Continental breakfast could use some TLC as far as ensuring juice is replenished throughout breakfast.

I specifically booked a non-smoking room, but I was given a smoking room instead. When I asked to be moved to the room I had reserved, the front desk staff said they were unable to accommodate my request. The front desk employees were not friendly or helpful and showed little concern for resolving the issue. To make matters worse, the TV in the room was not working. This was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. I expected much better service, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my stay.
