Hotel Wave Rehoboth Beach

We stayed for 5 nights checking in Sunday and out on Friday. We chose this hotel for the nicer looking continental breakfast, price and location. The full breakfast advertised was not available until our 4th day. There was cereal, toast and watered down juice the other days. We were told their shipment didn't come in. Mind you we are surrounded by grocery stores and a Walmart is a half mile down the road. Management did not take the initiative to get what was needed themselves to take care of the few guests that were staying. The website says there is an iron and ironing board in all rooms, there was none. I would have packed differently if I knew this wasn't available. The room was clean and we got fresh towels daily which was a plus but the floor was never cleaned. I had to get slippers to wear around the room because the floor was filthy. There were no drawers or a closet to put our clothes so we lived out of our luggage all week which was frustrating. The shower had a terrible squealing noise that couldn't be explained or stopped. The carpeting in the hallway and on the stairs was absolutely disgusting! I couldn't look down, it made me sick to look at it. I was stunned how dirty it was. I've never seen a carpet so stained and loaded with debris and hair in all my years of traveling. I never saw anyone with a vacuum. They desperately need to replace it. The pool was fine but it was dark and dingy in the room and was very uninviting. Will not stay again.

Good location for Rehobooth beach. Price is right. Russell the front desk clerk is great!! Don’t forget to try his pink lemonade!! Ample parking. Breakfast on Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday there was hardly anything. Toast, English muffin, or cereal ( fruit loops or Raisin Bran.

The staff was friendly There were no amenities in the room as stated in the booking. No coffee pot or hair dryer in the room, etc Not enough towels. Breakfast was nothing like what was stated. All in all it was okay but would not book there again.

Friday we got up, I went for coffee and was informed they had no creamer for the coffee, another guest was there and was like what? I said yeah they had no creamer. so I went back to the room, I went to use my swipe card to get in and the door was not even locked. it was broken since we checked in. They moved us to a different room. The exhaust fan in the bathroom of the new room did not work, but the entry door did actually work and was locked when we left. when we returned back to the hotel Friday evening both our swipe cards were not working, went to the front desk and they reprogrammed new cards for us. Saturday was the same issue, we went out for the day and when we returned our keys again were not opening the door, went down and were given now our 3rd set of swipe cards. My daughter wanted to go use the indoor pool which also included a hot tub. The hot tub had so much of the paint peeling I told her not to get in. The cement around the pool was also very cracked. Bad experience!!

The rooms were very accomodating for people with pets. I appreciated that they gave us 2 rooms that were close to each other and the front door. There were some staff that were very nice and easy to work with. I appreciated the older gentlemen that worked in the evenings. He gave us our welcome bag since we didn't receive one when we first checked in. The rooms were fine with the exception of the carpet; however, they noted it at check in and apologized. The breakfast was minute and was often out of several items. Several days we had to wait for food to defrost in order to have an english muffin or toast. There was hardly anything to eat or drink during breakfast (one morning the juice machine was turned off and the waffe batter wasn't even made - this was at 8 a.m.) The reception area was nice; however there were instances during the day where staff was utilizing the space to build furniture which made it difficult to use the space during the day time.

The staff was very friendly and nice. Russell did great at helping us. The property was disgusting. The carpet had caked up dirt. The rooms smelled like mold and mildew. There was black mold all over the ceilings, doors and floors . The bathrooms were disgusting. The curtains hanging in the shower were full of mold and stains.The cleaning was horrible. The most nastiest I’ve ever seen I will not be staying here again. Beware if you come to this property, you will need to clean yourself.

We only stayed one night, but the hotel was just fine. The price was right and we overall enjoyed the short stay.

No elevator even if it's 2 floors if you have lounge you have to take it up the steps

A chest or dresser would have been better. Also a small closet would have been nice to have, to keep things organized. The breakfast was a little disappointing.

Staff was great the room was clean I have 1 advised instead of carpet on the hallway put ceramic tile. People are careless with their pets.

The most part I loved about the properly was we came on a Tuesday, which was the 18th we left on the 19th to go to the beach and when we got back, the rooms was clean again not knowing that they (the staff ) was allowed in the room without us being there . But are things was put aside and they remade the beds and clean the bathroom .and I love the staff The carpet , which I understand because they allow pets. And the false pretend of breakfast

I give the review a So-So....After reading multiple reviews, which were mostly positive and seeing the cute online photos, I looked forward to staying. Not as Advertised. Once we got there it was another story, especially for the price we paid, I feel it's OVER PRICED. The hotel seemed to have had some renovations which did look nice but the carpets, stairway, hallways though were filthy they apologized and said that was the upcoming winter project but searching more after the stay some of these renovations seem to have happened a while ago so kinda questioning the carpets. There is no elevator for the 2-story building. The room was decent, for the most part clean, floors could use little more TLC, half the bed was good the other half was broken like sleeping in a hole, the bathroom floor was very slippery from whatever it was cleaned with, no towel bars or clothes hook, curtain rod falling off the wall, and shower squealed and little water pressure. The pool area we did not use but from the window it does not look like the pictures. The front staff was nice. My main complaint is it is OVERPRICED for what it is. Sorry we will not recommend or stay there again.

The tub/shower was in poor condition. The surface of the tub was cracked and had rust stains. Generally, the room was fine. The laminate floors looked new-ish, clean and despite the age of the furniture, it was sufficient for a short two-night stay. The lobby was tidy but dated. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The free breakfast was simple (yogurt, cereal, bread/pastries, coffee, fruit). Parking was sufficient, easy and free. It’s good enough for a one or two night stay for the price!

Staff was very nice and polite. The parking was great and the hotel is off the main highway so coming and going onto the property is easy

When we arrived at 8:30pm, the room was not ready. Waffle at the breakfast is good.
