Staff was nice. Property looked very dated on the outside. Rooms were OK, except when the roaches got in - there were about 3 that turned up during our stay. There was also no closet to hang your clothes in, which seemed odd. View from the room was excellent. Proximity to the beach was excellent. They had an ice machine, but you had to pay for a whole bag of ice. I have never stayed anywhere you had to pay for ice. The property definitely needs an update.

Awesome place. Ground floor is on the beach!!

She’s a little outdated sure but the beach was the main focus! Room was clean and staff were nice. It is a little congested mid day with parking depending when you go.. I also don’t like that there’s no pool lights at night as that’s a little spooky when walking back to your room and it’s just a pitch black hole lol but I never felt uncomfortable. For a budget friendly hotel where you want quality and clean that’s on the beach, I recommend staying here! I’d stay here again if the opportunity ever arises again for sure !

This is a so so beach hotel. Its only ok because its on the beach. If it were a roadside hotel it would be a $30 a night place to stay. Saw cockroaches in our room. Not good. Only reason I say its ok was it was on the beach. Called the day before arrival and ask to be on ground floor due to us both being disabled veterans. They gave no consideration. Also told the lady checking in it was our 40th wedding anniversary. No congrats, no thank you for your service. Not nice !!!

Overall, not the greatest, not the worst. If you are on a budget, and want the amenities of having a “beach front hotel” this is definitely for you. The room smelled very industrial, few stains on the sheets, and sand on the floor (which is cool because it’s on the beach). I think they could’ve cleaned it better, I’d recommend your own sheets and pillow. I’m not saying it’s just dirty but it can be better. Other than the room, the beach and pool being close is nice, very easy to get in and out of the hotel. Safety wise 7/10, it felt safe because it’s on front beach road, some people felt questionable though. We didn’t have issues. T.V.s pretty old, fridge didn’t get as cold as we’d like. Not a bad hotel, not the best, but definitely budget friendly and a good middle ground if you’re fine with that.

Had a great time nice room and view.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

So much sand in rooms, not cleaned before arriving, older structure, balcony area was neat, beds were ok, bathroom ok, staff good.

The hotel has a nice setup right on the beach.. the balcony view is amazing.. But the room and outside of property needs to be cleaned properly.. there was a lot of bird droppings in staircases and room was not cleaned well.. had to kill 2 roaches , balcony had beer bottle from last guest and hair in bathroom from last guest..

We checked in and as soon as we got to the room we were knocked down with the smell of Marijuana and cleaning supplies. We decided it was not somewhere we wanted to stay since the smell was so bad we had a headache. We went and checked out the lady at the desk apologized and said we would be charged for one night md refunded the other night. That did not happen they charged us for both nights anyway. I would not recommend this place at all .

The restaurant wasn’t open. That’s the only complaint i have.

Had a terrific time here. I would come back again and recommend to friends and families.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The stay was OK, but it wasn’t a place I would choose to stay at again.

Besides the location that is by the beach everything else terrible. You might say the price is cheap that's what you get. True and I regret it if I knew I would pay extre $500 and stay like human being. They also say that the laundry is free and included and when I got there the housekeeping person was washing hotel towels. Out of 4 laundry machines 2 were broken and out of 4 dryers 1 was working i had to take of towels myself and put mines in dryer. The towels and bed sheets should be washed in commercial washing machines in order to keep bacteria, and viruses not spreading between people because to the end of the day people pay what the hotel is asking for. Pool floor was full of sand, pool showers not working.

Lucked up into this hotel after being scammed by the 3 nights, 4 days for 59.00 that was all over Facebook😭 We had drove 3 hrs to get here and denied at the door . I searched for hotels with reasonable room rates and found this hotel, we booked through Expedia, and we were wonderfully surprised by our room at how clean the rooms were, the room was like an apt. The bedroom was separate, had a dining room table and a couch in the living room. There was a nice bathroom and kitchen area with a full size fridge. The staff was very nice and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely book here again if we ever come back again. We sure appreciated finding this place ! I would recommend this place to anyone!

I booked deluxe suite with pull out sofa and kitchenette. Get to my room long walk no elevator and it’s just a standard room. Went to desk she said that was the room I was assigned and that it was a “free upgrade “ because it’s a beach front walkout. It’s not an upgrade if I don’t get the amenities that I paid for. My booking clearly stated that there were 5 of us. Not smart to “upgrade “ us to a room with beds for 4. And the ac could not get the room below 79*

However, the Chateau suffers from what I would call a slew of minor problems: Many of the TV channels were glitched-out and unwatchable, the drains for both the sink and toilet were slow and clogged, the ice machine on the top floor didn't work and neither did any of the shower stations around the pool. All of these issues could be remedied with more proactive maintenance. Still, a very good hotel and worth the stay. I rate the Chateau by the sea a 8.2 /10
