My 3rd time staying at Kaimana Beach Hotel. I had some issues on my door as it wouldn’t lock all the way, I have to push it hard it order for it to lock. TVs should be upgraded to smart TVs. Overall I still love this hotel as it’s beachfront and I really enjoyed and loved my early morning swims

Great restaurant at the hotel and gorgeous lobby. The only small downside was no coffee maker in the room. Other than that, everything was fine!

I decided to upgrade and pay more per night, and it completely changed my experience. The front desk gave me a deal on the upgrade, which I appreciated, and the new room was much larger with an incredible ocean and mountain view — genuinely one of the best views I’ve ever had from a hotel. The room still wasn’t super modern, but the view absolutely made up for it. The staff was extremely friendly and sweet, although service could be a little lax. There were a few times when no one was at the front desk and I had to call to find someone. The biggest selling point is the location. You’re right by the beach but farther down from the hectic, touristy part of Waikiki, so it feels quiet, peaceful, and somewhat secluded. If you want a modern hotel with lots of amenities, this probably isn’t for you. Even the gym is a partner gym about a 15-minute walk away. Overall, if you value quiet, beach access, location, and an amazing view, Kaimana is a great option — but I’d recommend paying for one of the better room categories. This is definitely a hotel where you get what you pay for, and the room you choose can make a huge difference.

This was a great hotel for a first time trip to Hawaii as a solo traveler. The restaurant and beach chair amenities are great, and it has a private beach feel. I did not miss a pool at all. There is a park on one side and it’s nice to not be enclosed by another hotel. Would visit again!

It was amazing overall
-
The room was lovely - large, amazing views, clean. The balcony was spectacular - wraparound with views of Diamond Head as well as the beach and the city. Staff was friendly and helpful.
-
The staff was great, very accommodating and responsive. However, in the lower apartments, water from storm did blow under the door into the middle of my room, leaves and all!
-
Beautiful location. Our double balcony room was wonderful. The bed was a bit too soft and the hallway was dated, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much.
-
However, the bed was terrible. It curved down so low and I had a back ache for 3 days.

In love with the room, not a bad one. Stayed 3 separate times over the course of July 2026. The rooms have mini split AC units which will freeze you out in a good way (if you want it to). You can see the ocean/beach from the balcony of the east facing rooms, west facing is clear beach ocean views. Didn't frequent the bar, no pool needed as it sits literally on Kaimana Beach. Be careful of the undertow at that beach. I'll stay again next visit to Oahu.

Beautiful floor to ceiling windows in our junior suite. Made every sunset memorable

The location was ideal, right on Kaimana Beach. The hotel is minimal with no amenities. They give beach towels and foldable chairs that you bring to the beach yourself. There isn’t a gym or pool on site and my room’s AC wasn’t working properly. I told staff of the issues. TV wasn’t working well either and kept having glitches. The staff said they would send someone, but it never got fixed.

Excellent location on the quiet end of beautiful Kapiolani Park. Easy street parking overnight. Waikiki amenities are close but not so close as to be noisy at night. Laundry facilities, beach towels and chairs, and free reef-safe sunscreen are a nice plus. Hope to be back soon!
-
This is a beautiful classic Hawaiian hotel. We loved our time there. The beach is a lot quieter than Waikiki.
-
It’s conveniently located right on the beach, which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. It’s also situated away from the bustling crowds of Waikiki.
-
Loved the location and the vibe of the hotel - laid back yet fun and energetic.
