The Bay Resort

Very accommodating for our dog! The staff was great, our room was very clean with a very comfortable bed. The property could use be a bit more appealing. The grass could have been cut ( as well as the mushrooms growing in the grass) the halls needed blown from debris . Maybe with some updating, with the view and location it could be one of the best hotels in Dewey!!!!!

Well traveled room. Bed was comfortable.

Hotel old Room smells

Had a Wonderful 4 night stay with my family in one of the bayside efficiencies. Pool was great, all of Dewey Beach amenities 1 block away. Room was very clean.

My room was clean close to the bay and the ocean. There was good night life places to go nearby as well.

Me gustó mucho la amabilidad, el respeto y la atención del personal administrativo y todos en general. Me gustó que hallan actividades que hacer como kayaking, y otras más. También me gustó la posibilidad de salida tarde de la habitación y que sea amigable para las mascotas . El lugar es bastante limpio, las habitaciones, el baño. Ofrecen hielo gratis. Hay lavadora por solamente $3.00 y la secadora es gratis . No me gustó, que no limpien todos los días . De las 3 noches que nos quedamos no llegaron ni una vez hacer la limpieza. Volvería otra vez? Probablemente si, más por el trato del personal y la accesibilidad a la playa. Además que es una playa hermosísima, limpia y tranquila .

Good location, allowed pets, no problems. This was there 3rd year there and they have made improvements. Can't beat the price during the season. AC was very noisy but discovered the room would stay comfortable if turned off for the night. We will stay there again.

I booked this property specifically because it mentions kayaks as an amenity. I might have missed something in the description because once I got to the hotel they said the kayak is a different entity and there are fees ($35 per person per hour I believe). Rooms were ok, slight damp smell in the rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful though. Location is good.

Room was clean and we had a great view of the Bay. Staff were so friendly. I wouldn't say the pool was so clean but not bad. Poolside must be the smoking area, smells like cigarettes which is not great since guests especially kids love to swim in the pool. No complaints with the hotel except for 1 distinct thing : the smell of the Bay was not good at all. Not the hotel's fault thou. I just have to put it out there, sorry. The kayaks and paddle boards are for rent by the way.

We booked our stay pretty late after our Airbnb cancelled the day before. I stayed on the Bayside near the pool with my daughters. Our efficiency room was near the pool and we could see the bay which was nice. We paid nearly $500 for it a night so I was surprised to find a beetle on my pillow when we arrived. Was worried it was a bedbug but it was not after a quick google search. Otherwise the tv didn't really work and it was a pretty basic room for the price. There was a stove and kitchenette which is a nice feature. We were walking distance to the beach so that was nice. I'd recommend staying here if you are really wanting to be near the beach and the bay- I would say the accommodations were ok. Lots of folks had pets which was fun to see.

The room, however, was not very clean at all. There was black stuff on the shower hose, the drain was loaded with hair, and we were only given one normal sized bath towel. We stayed for 3 nights/4 days and we asked for clean towels on the 3rd day but never received them. Our room was poolside, which was cool, but we didn't have enough light in the room when the door curtains were closed. If they were open, we could see everyone at the pool and they could see us. The sliding door also didn't lock, but thankfully they had a bar that acted as a lock. We would definitely stay here again, but we'll be on the second floor, at least.

great spot been coming to for years! however this is the first year they have charged for parking ...and now charging for early/late check in ...it was nice while it lasted but I won't be going back now

It's kind of sad that for $300. This is what you get! Very worn! The room smelt, horrible! Dirty, wet, dog, dirty socks, not sure what else! Pool was a mess. It says on the website that they offer paddle boards and kayaks, but it's actually another company that you have to rent from. The pictures on their website make this place look beautiful but that is actually not the word I would use. That little beach they show is about 15 feet long. I would never rent from here again!

Location of hotel was great. Walkable to the main street with all the stores, bars and restaurants. Parking lot on property so you didnt have to look for parking. Hotel sits on the bay which was great for us to launch our paddleboards. Bike rack near pool made it easy. Pool was clean. Beds were comfortable.

My family absolutely loves staying here! It is right on the bay, a great pool, and a quick 2 block walk to the beach. There’s food and shops, and it’s a great town. My kids loved spending time on the dock and in the swinging chairs on the sand by the bay. We love that we can bring our pup with us, and we continue to come back every year!

We had rented two adjoining Bayside rooms. Bedsheets had stains in one room. The other room had numerous stains on the rug. Ceiling shows bad patching and paint was old and yellow. Otherwise not bad for a place to just sleep and pass through. Price was unreasonably high but expected for prime season. All rentals in the beach areas of Delaware sky rocketed this year compare to last year rates at the same time.

Location was great

The place is totally run-down. Poor service. Stained carpet in room. Check-in process was a fiasco. A very disappointing experience.

The front desk personnel were awesome. Very friendly yet professional. Rooms were clean and spacious. Some plates, bowls and cup were available for use. The place is older but a wonderful and convenient location.
