Dolphin Sands Clearwater Beach, an Ascend Collection Hotel

I loved the beach right behind the hotel! We enjoyed being able to swim without going a mile down the road where it was crazy busy.

We loved the private beach at Dolphin Sands! It was well maintained and great for swimming! The beach bar was awesome, as well! Delicious food and drinks. Mark and Mel were accommodating on the beach & Ashley was a stand-out at the bar! Live music was great, as well! We felt safe in the area and would return.

The hotel was very clean. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It was fun to sit at the ocean by the tiki bar and have music every afternoon till 9. I recommend this to everyone .

We love this place and will keep coming back. The only thing we wish was that he pool was opened a little later for some evening/nighttime swimming. Can’t wait to return for our next trip to our favorite beach!

Great location Killed 7 giant roaches the first night and 3 more the second night. When we complained the staff admitted they knew about the bug problem but did not offer anything to compensate.

Second year staying here! We love it !

The beach was absolutely beautiful. Loved being right on the water with a private beach area full of seashells and beauty. The only down fall was we had no wash rags when showering and so we kept having to ask for wash rags and towels. Other than that, we pretty much used our room to sleep and shower. We were next to the elevator, and you couldn't hear anything. The rest of the time we were on the go or in the water. The area was nice and clean. We didn't have a car or rent one, so we were pleased to learn that our room key gave us free transportation on the Jolley Trolleys. There was a pickup right outside of the hotel. The staff was very nice. The restaurants on site were good and the price was decent. I recommend this hotel for anyone.

First time staying and I will be back

Clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Room Had a small refrigerator and microwave. Reasonable priced drinks that were good. Pool and beach staff were so nice and came around often. It’s a solid 3 star rating in my opinion. A small boutique style hotel with a restaurant. There is a liquor store across the street. A great Italian restaurant within walking distance , The Gondola A trolley stop right outside the hotel which is great if you do not rent a car. Ice only on the 1 st floor and more or less an outside area.

I stayed here a few years ago when it was considered Winters Hotel...I can say it's feeling it's age, maybe different management as it's called by a different name now. I like the location, the parking is easy and that is offers the four bed room with balcony with a microwave and that there is a lil grocery store across the street. What is bad, is check in time is 4pm, pool and beach we were told closed at dusk , nonstop blaring music from hotel beside us, room is getting the musty smell and we had a cockroach in the room the big kind. I probably wouldn't stay again unless they start updating the building, stop that music and keep the pool open later. We stop here usually for one night to be close to the airport
