There was a huge RÜFÜS DU SOL concert going on down on the boardwalk, so we heard partygoers until the wee hours of the morning because the walls were very thin. The phone was broken so we didn’t even attempt to use it to call the front desk. There is no bathtub or Jacuzzi so if you are banking on that, I would look somewhere else. Overall, the bed was comfy and clean. The elevators got very crowded and there was a very long wait to get up to our room on the ninth floor. Better signage for stairwells would have been helpful. It was a quick 3 block walk to the boardwalk and beach. Lots of places to shop and eat too.

We were in town for a concert. The bed was comfy. The room was clean. No issues during our stay. Check in was easy and our room was ready early. Convenient location to the things we wanted to do.

This is a beautiful hotel. The staff was great. I loved the rooftop lounge it was very relaxing. The breakfast was very good at the 6th floor restaurant. I traveled with a senior and the toilet was a bit low to the floor.

The black front desk man was rude on the phone and in person. The elevators were horrible! Took forever to get to and from the room.

The primary issue: The hotel was unprepared for check-in and their lobby was inundated with wall-to-wall people at 5 pm. It would have taken about 2 hours to get through that line. People were changing in the parking garage to account for the fact that they couldn't get into the room that they paid for. We attempted to finally check-in at 9:30, and the staff was unapologetic. Once in the room, the bathroom door didn't close. The room key randomly stopped working our first morning, causing another visit to the disorganized front desk. I was excited to not stay at a large casino, but I am never staying at The Claridge Hotel and will warn against it everywhere possible. The lack of response from a manager is disappointing, but not surprising given how many issues we had during our stay. Claridge Hotel: Do better. Future visitors to AC: Stay elsewhere!

The room was dirty and they charge if you request a late check out. It’s not a good place to stay

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

1.5 hours to check in. Limited working elevators, whole crowd having to take the stairs to get back to their room.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Check-in was terrible. No lie, a two-hour wait. One of biggest weekend of summer and only 1-2 people behind front desk to check in people in a sold out hotel makes no sense. Total failure on the managers part.

Property needs a life guard on duty.

Great location, so much character in the hotel itself. It is a older building but really has everything you need and is connected to both Bally's and Cesars with a short walk through street crossovers, never having to go outside. Elevators are so slow during peak times. Waited for an hour after a Saturday night concert ended, eventually getting a ride from security in a service elevator. Great view if you ask for a beach front room. Worth the savings IMHO. Front desk is very nice but understaffed during peak times. Had a good but affordable restaurant right in the building. Also Google tips and tricks, like they have $25 a day parking but if you park at Caesars and just walk through the buildings you can get parking for $20 for your entire visit. Then get a Cesars card and parking is free for your first time.

The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. Easy access to the boardwalk . I would definitely stay there again

This has been the worst hotel experience I have ever had. For one, their elevators only come every 20 minutes, and if too many people decide to book on a weekend, they don’t even work at all. Second, they are completely unaware of the activities that occur around them and quite literally in front of them. They had definitely more than 400 concert goers try to check in at the exact same time because their check in systems only work “at 4pm”. They had all 400 people, unorganized in the lobby, stand there for at least an hour until security decided to finally form a line. Thirdly, my hotel key did not work even after 5 different resets (plus a combined total of 80 flights of stairs), I was lucky however, because the other residents on my floor had access to rooms that were already occupied by others! Had their check in systems worked, I would have had my belongings robbed! Fourthly, if a fire ever broke out, no one would survive. Their staircases are like a labyrinth, and no one on their staff bothers to show you the right way out. They had hundreds of people going in and out of the stairs at a single time, and no one decided to direct them. Fifth, they likely didn’t even have the staff necessary to direct them. On my 6th time of trying to fix my cards and finally deciding to just try to check out and leave, the front desk person decided to tell me that “Actually I’m checking out man” and decided to leave (or quit?) his post. Finally, their check out system didn’t even work.

When we first arrived at the hotel there was a tremendous line to check in. Someone told us their systems were down. We waited 2 hours to check in. We missed the cocktail hour of the wedding we were going to. After the wedding it took us 45 mins to get an elevator to take us up to our room. By then I was so upset I didn't even want to go to the after party because of how long it takes to get up and down the elevators. There was no staff around to help. The bed in the room was comfortable. That's the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel.

Unfortunately, the condition of the property was also disappointing. The hotel looks and feels very dated and, more importantly, poorly maintained. I have stayed at many historic and older hotels, and age itself is not the issue. Proper maintenance, cleanliness, and attention to detail can make an older property feel charming and well cared for. That was not the case here. The guestroom felt old and in need of attention, and there was a noticeable moldy/musty smell in the elevators and the corridors on the guestroom floors. Even basic details were overlooked—there was no garbage can inside our guestroom. Overall, the property appears to need stronger management attention, particularly when it comes to technology, maintenance, cleanliness, and the overall guest experience. The frontline employees should not have to compensate for operational and property-level issues that are beyond their control.

Clean, big room. Nice beach view. Best bang for your buck.
