Red Roof Inn Albany Airport

Upon entering the room, I was immediately struck by an unpleasant odor—an unsettling mix of cat urine and stale cigarettes. This was particularly off-putting, especially since I had hoped for a clean and comfortable environment to rest after a long journey. While the staff were polite and accommodating, the condition of the room overshadowed any positive interactions. I understand that sometimes properties face challenges with availability, but having only this room available was a letdown. Overall, my stay was far from ideal due to the smell, and I would recommend checking room conditions before settling in at this location. If cleanliness and comfort are priorities for you, it might be best to explore other options.

It needs some love. It’s ok for the price, but I’d pay more if it were in a better shape.

The location was fantastic- only about 6 minutes from the airport. The room and bed was surprisingly comfortable and it was quiet (especially given that it was near the airport). The little desk was perfect for getting some work done. There are even several decent restaurants nearby. I really wish that there had been a fridge in the room. I didn't notice in the listing that my particular room didn't have one. Most rooms - even budget ones- usually have them these days.

Additonally the desk chair slipped out from under me and I hit my head on the wall and had to crawl to the bed to get up with quite a bit of difficulty. You should consider putting some kind of floor covering to prevent this happening to someone else.

I'm in Albany regularly and this has become my go-to place to stay. Comfortable and clean rooms, convenient location and friendly staff. What more do you need?

Good

The size of the room was good. The facilities as whole were dirty, old and in disrepair. The stairs and beams under the structure were rusted and literally falling apart. Due to the lack of care of the rest of the facilities I didn't dare attempt to eat the breakfast.

Overall clean and staff friendly . No breakfast and/or coffee maker in room. Also coukd use a small refrig. Most inns have at that price.

Nicer, and cleaner, than I expected for the price. Many food options nearby (walking distance).

Only complaint was no soap in the dispensers, but I survived and would stay there again.
