The Capes Hotel

The view is georgous. One big soundproof sliding glass door set in the middle of a wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor window. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming... making a point to greet me every time I came and went. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I could’ve spent more on a namebrand hotel and gotten so much less. I will definitely be coming back to this one and I’ll be bringing someone with me.

I loved the attention to detail, for example, they made flowers out of the toilet paper and towels. The staff was very nice. Room was very clean.

However, the hotel was a little rundown. The carpet should be replaced with a hard surface, and the shower, including the loud fan, could use some attention. The bed was noisy due to the weak platform that rattled when you moved.

Location and rooms were nice. The hotel staff was very friendly. The restaurant was overpriced. $18.75 for 5 shrimp is asinine. One of the waiters was also a really rude.

Good location Shower was wierd. Had to climb into a whirlpool tub to get into the shower.Also took very long time to get hot water.Air. Conditioner blew on your head all night.

Front desk workers are really nice & polite making sure your stay was good.

Although the bathroom situation could use some updating, the overall stay was great. The view was great and location was great. Being in the middle of all things allowed us to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go. Staff was amazing and friendly .

The location was great! It was in the middle of everything. The carnival was a couple blocks away, plenty of shops and restaurants and attractions all around. Every room is oceanfront with the perfect view of the sunrise. The restaurant at the bottom was ok, and the people were really nice. Great to location to walk around with little kids. The hotel is outdated. The bathroom sink had a slow drain which was nasty for brushing teeth. The AC unit was really loud when it cut on. The beds are medal framed which squeaked every time you sat on it or changed positions while sleeping. The pool is small and in an awkward location. It’s right in the pathway of people coming and going to the beach/restaurant. But overall it was clean and served its purpose.

That is was right on the beach Toilet didn't flush properly Out dated furniture....the building is out dated The front door is not handicapped accessible. The doors are not automatic which is really a pain when trying to come in with luggage so I can't imagine someone in a wheelchair trying to get in. There are almost no electric outlets that are available to plug in your electronics. No alarm clock. Mattress kept slipping off bed frame. The blanket and covers are paper thin. Bathroom corners could have been cleaned better. Shower is very slippery. They should put anti slip tape in the shower.
