Breakers Resort Inn

The hotel has a wonderful oceanfront view but it needs major renovations to make it worth the money they charge.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet and clean. The shades in the family room needed to be replaced to keep the light out if you slept in the murphy bed.

Beach view , and access was amazing, however its an older hotel so it has aged over the years and it shows .

The stay was ok BUT the whole place needs an overhaul. It is just old and it appears no one wants to spend money on it. One elevator, no ice machines working, old stained carpet, needs major paint job. The folks running the place were nice. Please renovate this winter cause you sure charge big money to stay so ownership has to have plenty of money. Its kind of funny there is a sign on check in desk that says "please give us a good review". Our biggest issue was the pot smell all the time. Again a sign says " no smoking or vaping of any kind in building". So much for that!! In closing we dont think we will return....

The housekeeper just walked in while we were getting dressed to leave at 9am. Otherwise everything else was ok.

The room was nice of you was beautiful definitely worth to stay versus the cost. I would highly recommend.

Shower curtain had mold on it. Could smell others smoking weed in rooms around us. View of ocean was great but could not go outside on the balcony because of water dripping from above us. We gave up a day and left early and forfeited the money. Never again.

Do not go there, ice machine broken, coffee machine broken, parking lot lights. Most of them are out, exterior doors broken, have to request housekeeping every single day armchair cut me. Do not go there

Central location in Virginia Beach with adequate parking.

No safety rail on the pool where the steps were located, the pool is 100% in the shade in the afternoon and is freezing in on the hottest day, no set pool hours. We had to wait till almost 11:00 everyday till it was cleaned to use it. Pool is not heated and so it is basically unusable. Also seating around pool is limited. Parking at facility is extremely limited and then forced into an overflow lot. Moral of story: you get what you pay for.

The parking lot holds maybe 25 vehicles. If you can't park there, they share a lot with the pier parking. Trying to get your luggage in from there is a big problem. The lobby is a hallway. Tight and hard to maneuver. The pool is old and moldy.during our 3 nights, not one time did we have housekeeping. I had to ask for towels and was treated as a pain. With so many choices you would think the staff would be nice. The ice machine was broken and needed to be replaced per the front desk. No washer and dryer as i followed signs. The room was fine. It was clean. The location is good. It was my 1st trip to VA Beach and not familiar with the area. I booked online at hotels.com, check in said 3pm. I got there at 3pm. Was told 4pm. No problem but my room was not ready until 5pm. This hotel is a run down, old feeling hotel. I paid $680 for 3 nights. I expected a little better for the money. You need ice when you're at the beach.

Very good

There was no breakfast offered The ice machine didn't work. The first 2 workers when checking in was not friendly or helpful. And they were on there cell phone. There also was a lady smoking inside the building and we could also small marijuana in with in the building on first floor. Didn't know about the parking fees.

Bad

The room was not clean. There was a dirty hand towel on the bathroom counter. There sunflower seeds on the floor. The toilet was wobbly and moved when it was used. The mattresses moved if leaned on. They keys would not work most of the time, it was difficult to get in the room. The bathtub was stained brown. The curtains would not close so the sun broke through at 6:30 am. There was no toilet paper in the room when we got there and had to go to the front desk to get some. Parking was a disaster, had to Austin Powers out of every parking spot!

Great hotel right at the beach!

The hotel was amazing, right off the beach and located near everything making it very convenient for just walking distance. The rooms where clean also had a balcony that over looked the ocean which made for a great view in the morning. The staff was great. The hotel had a pool as well.
