Good location, nice views, price same as all others on the beach, noisy room when slider door open and wind blowing, missed cleaning room 1st day of 3 day stay, had to get own towels that day..limited parking

Beautiful hotel. We got a king room w/o a lake view , still top notch, very clean and very pretty inside. Easy access the walkway along the beach with firepits to sit and watch sunset.My only hope is that someday they may offer a breakfast and return to opening the bar area.

Great place to stay on East Traverse Bay. New facilities, right on the water. Nice pool and Sauna area. No breakfast and 31 (road hotel is on), is incredibly busy, limiting the walkability a bit. Rooms were very clean and beautiful view onto the bay.

This property is beautiful and in a great location! Rooms were spotless and very modern with a rustic feel! We wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back!

Such a lovely property. Due to the age of the property I wasn’t expecting it to feel so clean with a fresh new cedar smell. The beds were exceptionally comfortable with high end linens. The outside area overlooking the bay was the most pleasant surprise. We took advantage of the gas fire pits on a cool morning. We were in a double queen room and it was perfect for our one night stay. So many nice details from the clothes steamer to the nice toiletries. I am a “hotel snob” and I was very impressed. Will definitely stay at Tamarack Lodge when back in Traverse City.

Our only regret was that the lodge doesn't offer any type of breakfast food (only coffee).

Many surprises and delights. ie everything was spotless (clean), Electric fire-place in the room, Soaker Tub and Shower in the room, Beautiful life like pictures everywhere, Large TV screen, Fire Pits on the water front of the property, BBQ and Fire Pit in a separate place closer to the bay area, Two nice Beaches, All the staff and housekeep staff very professional, even a pool table in the in reservation check-in area. We go to Traverse City MI every year and going forward we will be staying at the Tamarack Lodge. Many Thanks to all that made our stay awesome. Mr. & Mrs. Robert W Johnson

Beautiful property! Too windy day we were there to enjoy the beautiful lake front. Inside amenities were great.

Wonderful experience! Wish I could stay longer!

The property is fairly new and has a timberline Lodge, craftsman sense of decoration. All the common areas are really well appointed with that theme and mine. Because it’s new, it is in very good condition overall. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best, though. Our devices were constantly being kicked off the network and back on again. We tried to use the fire pits next to the lake, but there was no propane in the fire pits. We went to four different fire pits and they were all empty. This is basic management and the staff didn’t do a very good job checking those in advance of the evening. We needed some extra hangers for our room and I stopped by the desk to ask for them. And the staff member said they didn’t have any and they were surprised because no one had ever asked them for this before. Not really the kind of response you want your staff to get to a guest. Some of the staff members were indifferent, others were more friendly. The maid service was great. There is no food service at this hotel at all. That is not immediately obvious when you book it so you have to be mindful of that. Every meal required us to leave the facility. From a location perspective, it’s a C location. It’s a 4 1/2 miles drive and it takes 15 minutes to get to downtown Traverse City, minimum. You might want to keep that in mind because all the good restaurants, Retail and shopping are in downtown. I can’t really recommend this location.

Balcony room in bldg 3 - very nice and new. Large pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Fyi - key card scans on the door handle. Stayed one night. In a convenient location. Enjoyed

This resort is amazing! The rooms are beautiful with the fireplace and comfy bed it makes it hard to leave. The staff are very courteous.
