My Place Hotel - Shakopee MN

Helpful staff, very close to venue. Bed height varied between our rooms, but they were comfortable. Room was clean. Parking was not great. The McDonalds next door is terrible and will tow your car if you park on their side of the building. I understand it’s theirs but they don’t need that much room. If they would at least rent some parking, that would make it easier to find a spot.

The rooms are bare and basic, at least they were clean. First floor room so i had to listen to the people chatting at the front desk all night, paper thin walls. NO PARKING IF THERE IS A CONCERT. The nearby amphitheater had a concert Saturday so there was no parking available, front desk suggested i wait in my car for the concert to be over. The next door McDonalds WILL TOW your car.

After making reservations a year ago specifying a nonhandicap room I was assigned a handicap room. May not sound too bad but: the counters are thigh high. The beds are sitting on the floor. There is no counter space at the sink in the bathroom. When you are traveling you have toiletries to set out. The shower is terrible. It's only a handful held. There is no place for housekeeping to put a kleenex box in the bathroom, so there is none for the room. The total makes staying very annoying and inconvenient. Aside from that there were no parking spots in the lot except a tow zone.

Very clean, large fridge and small stove top. Don’t forget to turn on your ice machine in the fridge, there are no public ice machines. No breakfast but with the kitchenette you can make your own. Best part is it is walking distance to the Mystic Lake amphitheater!

The hotel worked well for me to walk to the concert venue. Nice to have free parking.

My Place Hotel was great! We loved the location. The room size was perfect and enjoyed the full sized refrigerator.

Staff was great. Room was clean, but sheets had old blood stains on them. Whether they were dirty or not, sheets that look like that should be thrown out! I slept on top of the comforter. Other than that, things were fine

The lady who checked us in was very rude in tone she used towards us. We arrived after 2:30 and she said she would only check us in if we paid a $30 fee. We sat in the lobby waiting until 3:00 to be checked in.

Clean and quiet. No hair dryer. Staff was short with words. They appeared to not have time for customers.

Wait in lobby for someone to appear at the desk to greet and check in not only myself but 4 other groups. The hotel appears to be option extended stay full size refrigerator/freezer kitchenette no amenities ie silverware etc Room was a handicapped accessible with a shower bench and handheld shower head. The bed was even lower. Maybe I missed that I had booked an accessible room. Walkable to/from the new amphitheater.
