Nothing Went to booking reservation, guy at the reception was very rude because I arrived late at night. Then he told me there would be no parking available, so I asked to cancel because they advertised there is available parking. Then they said they would cancel without charges which was a lie. Now I need to dispute on the credit card.

It says union share but it’s really the tenderloin area. Very misleading! The ice machine did not work. The windows did not open. The room was very stuffy.

Good location for exploring the city, staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was a great size for our party The hotel is dated, needs money spending on it but then it is reflected in the price. That said, it is kept very well by the staff. Needs soundproof windows. Had some idiot playing the worst music he could find into the early hours outside. Appreciate this is beyond the control of the hotel. He only did this for one night so I hope it is not a regular occurence.

The hotel is historic and boutique. Very beautiful! One of the best things this hotel has going for is location, location, location. You’re walking distances to bars, restaurants, and an eclectic hodgepodge of San Francisco culture. Will be staying again!

Everything was so good The breakfast lacked savory items—bread, for example. There were only pastries or fruit.

The shower and sink faucets were really old and hard to open and close. The need to remodel the bathroom faucets. Also the TV channels were all blurry.

The room was not clean, seems very old. The bed was not comfortable. The lift is very slow and couldn’t able to close bathroom door from outside. Overall experience was okay as compare to price.

We had a lovely stay at the Beresford Arms Hotel while in San Francisco for a wedding. We stayed in one suite and one standard room, and both were spacious, comfortable, and perfect for getting our wedding party ready for the big day. The hotel itself was charming, and the staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming. The main reason we’re giving four stars rather than five has less to do with the hotel itself and more to do with the surrounding neighborhood. As with many areas of San Francisco, there was quite a bit of activity outside at night, including people yelling in the streets, ambulances, and police sirens. Unfortunately, this continued throughout the night and made it difficult for us to get a good night’s sleep. The rooms were also quite warm and did not have air conditioning, so we needed to keep the windows open while sleeping, which unfortunately made the street noise even more noticeable. That said, we really enjoyed the hotel, especially the spacious rooms, friendly staff, and charming atmosphere. For our wedding stay, it worked very well and gave us plenty of space to get ready together. We would happily stay again, but would keep the nighttime noise and lack of AC in mind when booking. ** edit to add- there was one part with criticism for the hotel and that is that the elevator is very DARK they definitely need more lighting in the elevator
