The hotel has great charm, and awesome location. It is really old and historic so it doesn’t have the luxury amenities like a modern place. The restaurant was also really nice. No parking but there is a paid public lot right next door, nice and easy.

The Penn View is a charming little hotel. The staff are super friendly. Happy hour food and drinks were superb. Alex, the bartender, is such a nice person. We will go back again. It is a perfect halfway point for us from VA, where we visit family, to our home in NY.

It was like a European hotel, except for the highway across the street. The ambiance inside and the restaurant was very nice. We enjoyed our visit.

Charming old Italy feel Well located though Market street is unfortunately filled with upset sort of squatter types This hotel is a jewel

The location is great. We always knew once we were on Market Street, just follow that to the end. The television was the easiest to use out of any hotel I think we've ever stayed in. There was no figuring out how to get a menu to come up. No scrolling to do. There were many outlets in the room, which made charging devices easy. We didn't use it, but it was nice that we got a complimentary 25% off coupon to use at the restaurant in the hotel. We never had to adjust the temperature once. It was always the right amount of cool. There was no dampness to the room like you often get with chain hotels. The on ramp for 95 south is just a few steps from the hotel, so that was super easy when leaving to come home. We are early risers and were told that although there is no breakfast served, there would be muffins and coffee in the lobby. The area restaurants don't open until 8:00 am. We left at 6:30 am to head for home. We thought we'd each grab a muffin on the way out to hold us over until we got a little ways down I-95, but there wasn't anything set up yet. I wished we'd grabbed a couple for the room when we saw them the morning before. Our room was clean and comfortable, but I was disappointed that it wasn't the room that was in the picture, that the balcony view wasn't what was in the picture. There was no exposed brick. There was no view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. We could barely see the river over the Market Street bridge even though it was right there, but we had a good view of the parking lot below. Having been there now, I understand that it's a historic building, so not every room can face the same direction. If I were to stay again, honestly, I would call the hotel and ask specifically for the view of the bridge and an exposed brick wall in the room. I felt a little cheated out of the charm for the money I paid.

Location was great. Robert helped us tremendously as our scheduled driver did show up but Robert walking into the building to start his day noticed us still there. He was wonderful.nice

We loved our stay. The staff at the front desk were really nice and helpful. We had an attic room and it was gorgeous with a great view of the river. We would love to stay again.

We loved the location and ambiance of the Penn’s View given the focus of our trip was Old City, Philadelphia. The front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and supplied with commonly expected amenities and bathroom products. We especially appreciated that we could stay parked (in lot next to hotel) and walk everywhere during our 3 night stay. We cannot comment on the restaurant or bar since we didn’t use these areas. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel! Most helpful staff! Panorama restaurant located in the hotel has a fantastic brunch on Sundays.

Great location, close to historical sites. Quaint, colonial style rooms make you feel a part of Philadelphia history!

The hotel was in a good location, the majority of the things we wanted to see were walkable. Parking next door was $40.00 a night but I guess when you’re in the city payment for parking is a must. I did like that there was an attendant in the lot all night. We didn’t get a chance to eat in the restaurant . Overall, stay was good and I would stay again.

We had a really nice stay. Our room was very spacious, surprisingly so, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the towels big and thick. Antonio, at the front desk, was welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner in the on-site restaurant, Panorama, which has received many awards over the years, and the food, wine, and service did not disappoint. The prices are steep, but as guests in the hotel we were given a 25% off card for one-time use. Take note that there is no hotel parking, but there is a pay public lot right next to hotel. There is no breakfast per se, but there is fresh coffee and delicious muffins set out each morning. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has a wonderful restaurant & bar, which impressed me with appetizers, dinner and drinks. Unfortunately, they haven’t been able to keep their housekeeping staff consistently, so the service is strained at present. The front desk staff are excellent and extremely helpful. In the next few years, I hope they have the reserves to update the rooms and common areas.
