All staff were friendly and nice. The room was small but had high ceiling and beautifully decorated. Loved bathroom. They organized a special accommodation on Wednesday night which was an huge plus! Would definitely come back!

Historic hotel just steps from independence hall. Have done a terrific job of keeping the vibe with modern amenities. Excellent price point and will definitely stay here again. And they have an amazing restaurant right next door, Forsythia. Everyone who stays here should eat there!

Our room was absolutely immaculate. Every imaginable detail was taken care of. We greatly appreciate the hard work of the housekeeping staff. A hot and cold breakfast buffet was included with our stay, and it was fabulous! There were so many items (hot and cold cereals, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels and toasting breads, eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, make-your-own waffles, coffee/hot tea/hot cocoa, and various juices) to select from, and the staff continuously cleared used plates and replenished food items, as needed. We would not hesitate to stay here again when we visit Philadelphia in the future. It is obvious that the staff take great pride in doing their jobs with the highest levels of professionalism and concern for the customers. We could not have asked for a more pleasant and enjoyable experience!

Overall it was a good experience and I would come back. The two complaints I have are the check-in. We arrived about 3:30 because a prior email indicated 3:00 check in. The attendant behind the desk told us check/in was 4:00. When it was all said and done and we indicated we just completed a 2 hour drive, He said our room was ready and we could go in. He should have said that in the first place! The other complaint was the elevator. It felt like it was going to die any minute and reported it to the desk attendant. I wasn’t too hopeful.
