Universal’s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

Mattresses were tacos and needed replaced but everything else was awesome.

We had a holiday home in the greater Orlando area. Booked portofino for 2 nights to be closer to Universal and use the express passes. We’ve done this at the hard rock twice before, wanted to try something different. We were pleased with the choice. Nice big rooms, adjoining for our family. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Couldn’t hear other guests at all

However the room was probably a quarter mile walk from front desk - which was overcrowded as expected in a place like that - which made it a real hassle to push our luggage also considering the really thick carpets. Also the onsite restaurants are frankly not very good for the price (and we’re very used to fine-dining). Checkout was messy, couldn’t get out of the garage, had to walk to front desk twice until they finally solved it and let me out.

Amazing hotel with a lovely boat ride to the parks each day. Express park with hotel is a great touch.

The hotel let us know at 12:30pm when we arrived. The pool has a cool slide and we love it!

Great location We had some issues with having our bags delivered to our room but it was eventually fixed

We checked in for one night and we couldn't fault anything about the Portofino, the room was fabulous with everything we needed. The staff throughout the hotel were amazing, so helpful at checkin explaining everything and even gave us a late checkout for the following day so that we could make use of the pool for a little longer. We will definitely be returning.

As you get the express pass included. Highly recommend it

I loved it, the grounds, pools and buildings were beautiful. The service was also wonderful. I didn’t like that the pools closed at 11 since it is the summer, I think they should stay open later.
