Courtyard by Marriott across Universal Orlando

The room itself was great, but we did have a couple issues. We booked this hotel because of the free shuttle to Universal. Upon check-in, we were told they only needed 20 minutes notice. About an hour later, around 5:30pm, we went to get the shuttle, but was then advised it was not running that evening. Because of this, we ended up having to drive ourselves, paying for parking at Universal, and limiting ourselves from drinking at Halloween Horror Nights since we had to drive back. Then, when we got back to our room, I wanted to soak in a bath, but the stopper wasn't working so we had to stuff it with a rag. Upon check-out, when we advised the front desk clerk of these issues, they first agreed that there should have been a shuttle and only needed the 20 minute notice, but then later stated we had to give a 24 hour notice. Basically, they lied to us. They also stated we should've called down to the front desk about the bathtub stopper not working and they would've given us a new room. We stated we were not doing that at 3am, we were exhausted. Unfortunately, the manager was not in so nothing could be done.

Hallways were stuffy and hot

I like the proximity to city walk but what i hated is that the breakfast options were limited and expensive compare to other places near. The only amenities apart from wifi and a laundry were non existing

We were given an upgraded room due to issues with our previous room. I didn’t like that certain personnel would try to get us to visit another hotel and try to change our plans.

The staff was accommodating

Well that was pointless, apparently the front desk doesn’t alert staff that you paid extra for late check out, and apparently staff reads the note on the door and doesn’t care and knocks anyway. The worst part is, it happened 3 times over the course of the 2 hours I paid extra for, so we essentially got no sleep and kept having staff banging on the door over and over, despite all of this. I had to get up and answer the damn door THREE times.

The key door is not working, bathroom is small than usual!!! No light!!!

Great for families, close to parks and attractions, food on site/nearby.

2 night stay. After room was cleaned no extra toilet paper was left. I didn't realize until 7 am and I called the front desk to ask if someone could drop a roll at my door and the person said no one extra would be there until 9 am to bring any. 9 am came and still no one brought any toilet paper.

And the pool was a good size as well

It was a clean, & convenient hotel, if you’re visiting for Universal Studios. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes away from the park. Staff is helpful.. the wings are very good, but they are $17 for 8 😂😂😂…

We love to stay here. We stay when my son has to be over for his drs or hospital stays. So we are over there a lot. We chose here so that my 27 and 15 year old daughters can walk over to universal.
