Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

it was cool to see a retro hotel and in such a grand scale. but the hotel is cheaply made and needs a little bit of upkeep. we got the farthest room possible and it was a solid 10 minute, 400m walk so make sure you ask to get a building that's closer to the lobby.

The resort over all was good, the bed head in my room was peeling off, nevertheless the room was clean and we had an awesome view. The young lady at reception was very helpful and told us a lot about what’s going on. Very good food options and I love that they had a Starbucks on property. I’ll give this resort a 8/10… will be back!

I’ve been coming to this property now for over a decade. It is my favorite place to stay when I am in Central Florida.

My room was a hike from the food court and lobby. Other than that I had a great stay.

Went with my 2 boys and two babies and my husband. Excellent location, friendly staff and early access to the parks was super convenient. I would definitely go back.

Comfortable beds great location and pools. Shuttle service to parks was great. No microwave in room.

As a family of 5 it is not always easy to find accommodation without booking two rooms. Cabana bay was perfect for us, plenty of room in the room. Excellent facilities on site, plenty of stuff do on the hotel site when wanting a few hours away from the park. Would return in a heartbeat

Loved everything about it. Was disappointed one of the hot tubs was not working.

Great hotel!!! There was alot to do. The lazy river was amazing! Staff was helpful and everything was clean!

5th time staying at Cabana Bay and although the overall building could use a refresh, still feels like « home » for us when we visit. Staff always go above and beyond, the diner has a variety of options with the food being quite good & reasonable and the pools and gym are great!

Very convenient to have a huge lobby so that you can walk from the bus after universal to your room. Large rooms. Great to have a kitchenette I wish there were more umbrellas around the pool.

Cabana Bay was nice, room was very clean and staff was very friendly. Only negative things I have are……water leak in the hallway of our room, had a garbage can catching the water and was never fixed the whole time we were there, hallways had a lot of scratches and holes in the walls, def needs painted. Also stains on the hallway carpet floors. We had wash cloths the first day, were never given to us again, even after asking housekeeping. Don’t regret staying there, just think I’d look elsewhere next time.

Everything was great loved the hotel just the only thing I wish they had was free breakfast considering you pay a good amount of money for just the room and parking but other then that my stay was grate !!

Our trip got off to a rough start being that our Frontier flight got diverted to Atlanta and we had to stay overnight in Atlanta which was one of the most terrible experiences I've ever had. Being that I was dealing with the airlines the evening before I forgot to call Cabana Bay Resort and tell them I wasn't going to check in that evening. So we get to the hotel finally and I go to check in and the lady says that they've given our room away and that she could accommodate us at another Universal resort but we cannot stay at Cabana Bay Resorts. My heart dropped and was absolutely flabbergasted because of what she told me. She made 0 effort to ask her supervisor or ask an associate what to do under that circumstance but gave us the worst case scenario. Luckily I asked for her manager and she came to the front and spoke to us and indicated that she would reenlist our room and get our room ready for us. I would say lesson learned here is that Cabana Bay could train their associates go a little bit more above and beyond under those circumstances as some people have saved for months to stay at their Resort. Other than that experience at the beginning our stay was okay. It was a little bit pricey for food I think they could bring their prices down a little bit but overall I would say I would give them three stars.
