Howard Johnson by Wyndham Ocala FL I-75

This is the first time I used Expedia or any kind of booking agency to book a hotel. It was a last minute trip. And I realized that using the booking agent really didn't guarantee me any kind of better hotel.I was under the impression that they did research on these hotels when I arrived, I booked it for 3 nights. Thursday Friday, Saturday, 27th 28 29th of August of this year, 2026, got there. Burn holes all over the best friend went back to the office. They changed it fine. Whatever I asked for a wake up call because I had to work Friday and Saturday that weekend down there. That's why I was there. Get back my phone, don't work? Wires are hanging out everywhere. Okay, whatever fine? Then, my door doesn't all the way dead bolt. Unless I like body, slam it okay. Then, I go to use my blow dryer. The next day and you can't use the plug in the bathroom area where the sink is. Because it's so far pushed into the wall that my plug wouldn't go in. And even when I kind of figured it out, it was so loose, it didn't work, the bathroom light, you had to take the switch and flick it 50 times before it would stay on. There's definitely a short, there gonna be a fire. I'm just saying was not happy, did not like the experience, and the only reason that I did not leave Thursday. When I got there is because I was going to work all weekend. So I was there to sleep and shower the cleaning, eh. I ended up cleaning the shower and the toilet. Myself, so all i'm saying is it wasn't what I expected

Toilet wouldn’t flush so we had to fill tank to flush. Bugs and the outside trash containers including the doggy container were overflowing they stunk and attracted flys & insects. Morning roaming vagrants drinking beer and smoking cigarettes under the stairwell.

They do not give towels or clean rooms everyday. We were told by the front desk staff they only do that on tuesdays and fridays. They are doing work on the hotel, but the room could have been cleaner especially the bathroom. It served the purpose for 2 nights. The front desk was very nice I only wish we were told about the Tuesday and Friday schedule when we checked in.

First red flag was the room not being ready till almost an hour and a half after said. Room was absolutely filthy when you walked in you could tell right away just felt funky. Headboard was nasty - had to clean the room myself, bedding was all stained.

This was a good motel for a quick stop while traveling. Thank you for the comfortable beds.

The floor of the room was not very clean and dust behind the bedside table and garbage.

Nothing Door wouldn't open always stuck. Surprise charge of $40 per night for a dog. Needs to be stated in the website ridiculous Breakfast was a joke. Nothing was restocked, everything was gone by 7:30 Wifi was terrible. Always disconnecting Room was dirty, cobwebs and dust in the corners Evening clerk was snarkI could go on

There were several problems I encountered at the property. Upon arrival I was disappointed in the appearance of the building. After checking in and parking near my second floor room, I discovered there was more elevator. After entering my room I discovered there was only one set of towels in the room for two guests. Upon returning to the lobby to request more towels. I was told none were available at that time. On day two of my stay I requested the sheets on the bed be changed and extra towels. Upon returning to the room several hours later, it still had not been done, but soon after two people came in and did as I requested. On day three I went to the front desk to request pool towels and was told they didn't have any. I then advised the room had not been cleaned and was told, housekeeping only cleans on Tuesday and Friday. I advised there was trash that needed to be removed from the room. Someone eventually came and took the trash. That was the worst stay I've had in my life

Dirty dirty dirty!! The bed set was all stained, i found 2 cockroaches in the first two minutes of being in the room!! The hottub had mold all around the edges. there were people sitting outside doing drugs and drinking. Not safe!! Not clean!

You could tell they tried to redo the room and the property to make it look better but it wasn’t great. The worst part is how sketchy the people who stayed there were. A lot of activity that made us feel uncomfortable. We left a day early due to how many people were hanging out in cars and watching us when we went to the pool. We had our daughters with us and did not feel safe with the grown men watching them. Not a family friendly environment and we will not stay at another Howard Johnson motel. Definitely recommend them cleaning up the people that stayed there and paying close attention to the criminal activity that is taking place there.
