Virgin Hotels New York City

We've been to NY many times and this by far, was the best view from a hotel room we've ever had! It is well worth paying extra to get the view of the Empire State, it was pretty spectacular, especially at night. The hotel itself is in a great location. Staff were amazing and the roof terrace was lovely to relax after a busy day. Will definitely return

The main issue with this hotel is that the lifts are unreliable. The broke down twice and fire department had to come out to people trapped. When they working you could wait ages and the room key readers did not always work. Breakfast was also a bit disorganised. Buffet was supposed to start at 8am but did not come out until 8.20 am. However rooms were clean and facilities are good although pool can be busy.

The water pressure was very low in our room. The view was amazing the room decor was great. Overall a great time would come back again

Great location and nicely sized rooms but poor infrastructure and admin made the stay less pleasant. We won't be staying here again.

The modern building, cool elevators, the location of the hotel and the chic decor in the whole building The lack of hand soap in the bedroom and no shower gel. I asked for two more towels and hand soap plus shower gel and we never received them. The confusing elevator button pads and the fact that the staff didn’t explain how to work the elevator.

Room was great-view was incredible. Cool vibe and clean. Comfy beds too!

Room was pristine, amazing view looking at Empire State building. Plenty of space with seperate dressing area and separate shower and seperate toilet. Mattress and pillows amazingly comfortable, great night's sleep and no noise from outside.. (17th floor) Loved the water bottle filling stations on every floor. Bar and outside terrace extremely comfortable, clean and with an amazing view of the buildings around being on 3rd floor there was some street noise.. Bar staff, very attentive.

Excellent hotel in a great location. 2nd stay and highly recommend. Only comment is the staff at the 3rd floor bar could be a little more attentive.

Love this hotel. I highly recommend getting the Empire State Building view.
