Everything was clean and comfortable

View to the wall hair left everywhere in the room

The location is great but the team are what make the stay so wonderful. We will definitely stay here every time we are in NYC.

fantastic room, very comfortable bed. we opted for a room with terrace and it was outstanding. perfect place for coffee and breakfast or evening snack and drink. staff were wonderful. great location - tons of food and coffee nearby, easy access to metro and a short walk to central park. the bar is a great little area to enjoy.

It was difficult to use the blackout curtains to block ALL the light coming from outdoors. The wiring, staff conceded to us, was faulty, so the switches to light up the room when entering at night were "wonky" and confusing. The refrigerator we requested did arrive quickly, but was very run-down. Its door needed a strange "push" to close completely.

The place was great EXCEPT they tacked $575 onto my bill at checkout because they said their sensor detected smoke! No one smoked in that room. Total scam in my opinion. So sad it was otherwise a gem!

Enjoyed my stay at The Arthouse. The room was clean and nicely decorated. It was very comfortable and the lobby restaurant is a wonderful breakfast place to grab coffee and a pastry. Will definitely stay here again!

The room was spacious and very clean. The complementary breakfast was delicious, especially the chocolate croissant.

My overall day was fine. The two issues I had were that the hotel did not have a bottle of drinking water yet provided a Keurig. Also, I had arrived close to 11 o’clock and it was too late for me to get water from the store. The other issue I had was the test of fire alarm system at 10:00 in the morning. Why couldn’t the test be performed at a later time.

First time a hotel couldn’t find my Expedia reservation - even when I showed them the confirmation. So that started the stay off on the wrong foot. The room was ok. The water pressure was not great in the shower and the bed was just ok too. Oh, and the wireless was done for a few hours. I only stayed one night.

Nice, neighborhood location, close to the subway.

Room was very clean, coffee and croissant was a nice breakfast amenity we didn't use. My only mild complaint was the desk staff. Is it difficult to appear to be a little welcoming? This has been true of all my previous stays and I think this will be my last.

Fabulous location! The room was a good size, nicely arranged, had a keurig, a tea kettle and a mini fridge. the sheets and towels seemed fine but i found human hair on one of the towel areas in the bathroom, and toe nail clippings on the carpet next to the bed. YUCK. Management immediately gave me another room. This one was better, but had debris in the shower, and hair in the shower drain. Overall, staff were very responsive. Great hotel, worth the price, but they need to step up cleanliness. The things I saw made me question sanitizing procedures and left me not trusting the overall hygienic condition of the rooms Great bakery and coffee in the lobby, Nice seating area in lobby for working or hanging out. The in-house airport car service was excellent.

Always amazing.

Great location Room a bit small - despite booking Premium King, we ended up getting the smallest room on the floor.
-
I liked everything about it, except the bogus “city charge” of $46 a day (this was not a tax)

Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the shower in our room. The staff made several efforts to resolve the issue, and we really appreciated how responsive and helpful they were. The luggage and transportation team was also extremely attentive and customer-oriented - special thanks to them. One area for improvement is housekeeping, particularly floor mopping and overall bathroom cleanliness.
-
Staff was very helpful providing a working refrigerator in my room. Bed was extremely comfortable. Only drawback overall was that the light fixtures did not generate much light making some tasks difficult. That was a minor issue in the grand scheme of things.
