HI New Orleans - Hostel

The room smelled like molded wet towels. I really got a room just to sleep before driving back after the concert, but I just didn’t feel it was clean before my arrival. Staff was great one lady taught me how to ride the transit to get to my concert.

I booked a private room. Water was not hot and soap wasn’t provided. The front desk doesn’t answer the phone and really could care less. When I asked about not having hot water the teenager at the front said “it’s because of the rain”. I was completely confused!!!!!! The lady from the back overheard this nonsense and stated I needed to let the water run for 15 minutes to get hot water. This was definitely a waste of money

The hostel is conveniently located close to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, with multiple access to public transport just minutes away from the hostel. The beds are beyond comfortable, the lockers are easy to operate, and the bathrooms are always clean and well-equipped. The lounge is beautiful, and the staff is very helpful and accomodating. Everything was perfect, I can't think of anything I didn't like.

I checked into this hostel on August 19. I booked a room for two people for two nights, but the experience was very unpleasant. At around 4 a.m., someone in the room urinated, which woke everyone up. We went downstairs and asked to cancel the room for the second night. We canceled the reservation for two people for one night, but for some reason, we only received a refund equivalent to one person’s one-night stay.

Friendly staff The locker where you store your stuff did not work properly I come to find out they already knew that did not work right had to take apart bang on it to get it to work 95$ stolen from me because of it not working well when I left not working adv front desk needed to be replaced b4 other cust robbed
