On a 2 week trip, this was the last 3 days. It was my favorite stay!!

This is a nostalgic and strangely laid out hotel. The beds were good and the breakfast was quite good. The gal at the front desk was very accommodating and nice Our biggest complaints and cause for the ratings is the window wells with the stairs and table. Strange! It make is difficult to close the blinds at night. We had two rooms and one had a window a/c installed and made it more difficult. The jacuzzi tub/shower combo makes it difficult for seniors or disabled people to get in and out of. It is also quite slippery and could use grab bars in useable positions. Then the parking lot is very strange. Not very convenient for large trucks.

Family run hotel. Has its own character. The game room was fun for the family and place was clean and well maintained. Will stay again if I am in the vicinity

Staff was very helpful recommending restaurants and printing a document. Breakfast didn't start until 7; we left for a trail at 6am and several others were in the lobby. They do have coffee 24/7.

Great place to stay near Mount Rushmore, the staff is great the breakfast is very good, the room could be cleaner carpet was dirty and ceiling fans were very dusty other than that it was a great stay, we enjoyed our time there.

Great place to stay! Very good breakfast!

Such a cozy, comfortable environment! While the building is older, the bathroom was modern with a walk in shower and plenty of counter space. If we’re ever in the area again, The Roosevelt will be our go to.

A small boutique hotel, clean, well-kept, with wonderful and helpful staff. Rooms have been updated and meet all requirements. Close to downtown Keystone and Mount Rushmore.

Staffs were very helpful and rooms are clean.

The stay was wonderful. There was 3 adults and 2 kids. We had a family suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. The room and living room were separated by French doors. The balcony is spacious and overlooked the tramway (which closes early there is no disruption). Breakfast was a very good, standard continental. Staff were very friendly, many live on site so they have a different appreciation for the place. They have maintained it well. One thing to note is that this isn't a fancy 5 star hotel, so if you're looking for that then this isn't it - HOWEVER, it is very well maintained and it's a beautiful building with some really special stories and items to fully bring Teddy Roosevelt's spirit to the place. I would definitely stay again!

The staff was both professional and genuine. The hotel was well maintained and located perfectly to enjoy downtown Keystone by short walk to restaurants and shopping. (And an easy 2.5-mile drive to Mount Rushmore.) This was our most memorable hotel stay on our cross-country trip - we look forward to returning to the Roosevelt!
