You don’t go to Hawaii to hang out in the hotel, right? So, this fits the bill as being the place to drop at night and hold your belongings. Property is clean. Strong scents used, so if you’re sensitive to chemically manufactured scents, note that. Staff were pleasant-especially for having to pull double shifts at times. Beds were not the most comfortable-you could feel the springs. Location is wonderful, though. Quiet property. Secure. Air conditioning works, but is not consistent with temp. If you are used to sleeping in a room under 72°, it could feel pretty warm. Microwave and refrigerator were helpful to heat up leftovers. Shower handles are a bit tricky to maneuver and again, will not give you a constant temp. Overall, it’s fine. Would I stay again? Possibly for the location. The boutique hotel we stayed at last spring may not have had as many updates, but staff made you feel like Ohana and called you by name. That matters, too.

you can smell it as soon as you get off the elevator. Only roaches we saw were at the pool thankfully Staff was super friendly and helpful.. but that moldy/mildew smell and sight is burned in my brain forever

The room needs lots of updates and deep cleaning. Stained seat and hole in chair. Carpet is very dirty. Mattress was sunk in. Had future reservations there that I canceled.

It was great. The only concern was the parking. Other than that awesome experience.

Thank you for the nice staff with a full of kindness

Staff was very warm and welcoming. Very good with providing ADA accommodations for my mom. The stove top in the room was perfect size for quick meals, avoiding having to eat out every meal, every day. Location is very convenient, close but not too close to all the Hussle and Bussel of Waikiki.

We ended up arriving in the middle of the night due to a delayed flight. The girl at the front desk was friendly. She did inform me that our king bed room that we booked was not available, so they would not charge us the $20 resort fee. The beds were comfortable and there was a balcony to enjoy coffee in the morning.

Room was clean. Wish the towels were larger. Convenient to Waikiki beach.

I chose to stay at your establishment once again because of my wonderful experience when I stayed there in 2018. I was extremely impressed with everything about it, the fantastic renovation from an apartment building to a beautiful boutique hotel, the aromatic apricot scent when you enter the lobby, the cleanliness of the establishment everyday from inside the room to outside area like the hallways and stairwells, the friendliness of the staff, the constant supplies of amenities. We never had to ask much for anything because everything was provided. I have returned to Oahu many times after 2018 and have tried other hotels and this year I decided to return to Polynesian Residence given the price was reasonable and my positive past experience. Unfortunately I have to say it was quite disappointing. The boutique hotel I once knew in 2018 no longer exist. The establishment has not been well maintained. For instance, the walls are dirty, countertops are dusty, the glass tables, mirrors and glass windows/doors are stained & dirty, the carpet is in desperate need of vacuuming in the room, hallways, & stairwells, furnitures are extremely chipped and missing doors, the bedding had stains, and the towels are frayed, thinning, and stained. The good thing about this hotel is the staff, they are kind, friendly and helpful. It is sad that the maintenance is rather poor given that this hotel has such great potential with its great location. Thank you!

A lovely stay sadly cut short to no fault of the hotel but still enjoyed our short stayover. Great location and great amenities. Staff very helpful and beds extremely comfortable. Would recommend.

Water was out for better part of my only full day there, they gave me my resort fee of 2o dollars back and that was it. Horrible hotel, never stay here

Expedia itself is wonderful and they have help provided at all time. Polynesian Residences is not a clean hotel, i did not feel safe in my room being that the room was given to me with stains everywhere and mold growing in the shower. I stayed 1 night so I could get my refund and leave. I would recommend that this hotel get reviewed by professionals before allowing people to stay. The pictures displayed on the website do not match the actual place in person.

Our check in was a little delayed.

The parking was offside but first come. The hotel staff helped us secure a spot for our second night and we lucked into a spot on the street the first one
