The room was adequate. The shower water pressure was fair and there was no makeup mirror in the bathroom. The service here is terrible. There were no hangars in my room and it took 2 phone calls and 45 minutes for someone to give me some. The breakfast is mostly bagels, cereal and yogurt. They say it goes from 7 to 11 but when I came down at 9:15 there were no bagels. I waited 10 minutes after requesting them and left. I came back at 10 and now there were bagels but no coffee. This is not a cheap property and for the money it should give better service. This is not rocket science. This hotel is poorly run and definitely overpriced.

The hotel is definitely a boutique property, although it did give off a little bit of a The Shining vibe—probably more because of the style and atmosphere than anything else. That said, it was nicely modernized, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The valets were excellent and very helpful. If you’re not using the valet service, though, parking is not particularly convenient and there aren’t many good options. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, with friendly staff and a unique atmosphere.

Minimal seating available in breakfast area! Not good! See ☝️

The staff and the room were both great. The shower drain was slow and would not drain properly, but there was no time to fix that while we were there. Otherwise, a perfect stay.

The hotel was very nice. Staff was wonderful. Room was clean. The only thing I didnt like was they didnt change my sheets, they took my original bed sheets, and simply tucked it back to the bed. Most hotels replace it entirely and make the bed. Breakfast was very low end like cereal and water..no options to eat breakfast. No restarant just a bar downstairs with Tapas and very limited on openings. I didnt mind as more places were available outside the hotel, but still it was a nice place to stay. I do plan on returning becuase they made me feel welcome and with respect. I value that over anything.

We like the overall location to some of the downtown area eating, etc. We feel like the online pics way oversell the property. The actual property is very old, not clean, and very dark in the rooms. The elevators had an unbelievable amount of dirt on the sill and we could see the dirt all the way down through large gap between the sill and the floor of the elevator. That was our first impression going to the rooms. Once in the room, there is no overhead lighting in the rooms and very hard to dress and put makeup on or simply read a magazine or book. The blue suede sofa was dirty. The continental breakfast was not acceptable for the price of the hotel. The toasters were not working. The bagels were frozen and unthawed with no cream cheese or additional spreads. The milk was in a carafe and not cold. All in all, we were less than pleased with our stay. The saving grace was the two young men greeters who were very pleasant opening our doors and giving us directions to restaurants. Additionally, the spa soaps/lotions/bath gel/Shampoo/Conditioner were 5 star.

EXCELLENT! This was so charming, clean and perfect location. Staff was helpful.

Housekeeping was a little slow in getting to my room but was very responsive when I called for something. The continental breakfast could be better in terms of selection of food. I booked this hotel because I was attending the Hartford Jazz Festival. It couldn’t have been a better location. It’s a 5 minute walk from the festival. I plan to come back here next year. The small bar, Max, was a great place to hang out after the festival. They had a really good band every night. Excellent hotel.

The breakfast was pretty minimalist and not well tended to -- restocking items that were running low. The lobby rest room was out of paper towels. Those details make a difference.
