Hyatt Select Galveston - Beachfront

As past employee of Hyatt hotels for 21 years, I expected more. The property is a bit dated. It needs a little love. Parking is minimal and amenities, no outdoor pool when you are at a beach town did not make sense. Unless for a quick stay before a cruise like this one, likely willl not be back. Thank you for the staff who made our quick stay very pleasant!

This property was nasty. The elevators were dirty and we were concerned we about touching the buttons. The hall carpets were even worst. The room wasn’t ever nice.

Close to the beach and food

Lala was very helpful during our stay.

We had to make a last minute change and ended up here by chance and we loved it!! The location is amazing, you can walk right across the street to the ocean.

Amazing place to stay lovely helping staff and great location I couldn’t give anymore than 5 stars but I would give it a 100/100 if I could. 💕

Tried to change my dates to another day amd wouldn't do it. Ridiculous. Didn't cancel just change dates. Horrible people

Very pleasant staff, convenient parking, and Beach access!

Location, staff was friendly and welcoming, and beds were great Our safe was broken and not replaced, they did let me put stuff in the main safe, but I thought it should have been repaced by the 2nd day, it would have been more convenient to have our stuff in our room The shower surround wall was loose and looked like it was seperating from the wall The peep hole had toilet paper shoved in it, Upon arrival the toilet wouldnt flush and the seat was broken off, they sent maintenance to repair, he did replace the seat, but it still took 3x flushing to even flush urine down. We gave up and just flushed 3x each bathroom visit. On check in we were told that 50.00 a day would be held for incidentals and as security for the property. I don't think we could have done more damage to the room than was already present on arrival.

It was a great hotel and perfect location!

All amenities were pretty good, Hotel does have an indoor pool, and you do have access to the neighboring hotel’s outdoor pool. All in all the hotel provides what you need for a comfortable and fun filled family stay.

View and location Elevator were old and slow needs to be updated

The staff went above and beyond. The rooms also seem to have been recently renovated and are very comfortable. The beds made it real hard to get up and enjoy the beach.

The staff was great!! The breakfast could use some work. The egg bites were not good. There was not much of a variety to choose from even the cereal was Lucky charms that looked like it had been picked through and Cheerios. No oatmeal no muffins. The pool hours are odd considering the pool is indoors.
