Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ELKINS by IHG

The parking was nearly impossible. Almost all of the vehicles were utility vehicles that weren’t even working on the hotel! They were working elsewhere! Some of the staff were incredibly rude about the choices that were being made at the breakfast bar. They would make comments to each other about what items the guests picked, which isn’t any of their business. They have also decreased a lot of their available choices and some of the food quality itself has really gone down. Burned food or instant The room this time was questionable as the door not touch the ground and had over an inch gap allowing all kinds of bugs and pests to be able to enter! I found several beetles and spiders in the room from them entering into this gap of the door! Did not feel very secure with that. I also found various stains amongst the carpet, wall, bathroom counter and window curtains that were almost resembling blood/snot. I was lastly concerned with the refrigerator and microwave that were in the room. The microwave looked like it had cleaning residue left and I didn’t feel comfortable using it and the refrigerator wasn’t cooling and if the items that needed refrigerated properly. I had to keep my food and medicine cold and the food was barely cool when it should have been a lot colder, had to throw it away because it stunk from rot.

The hotel is the first hotel I’ve been in in a long time that has a non-slip bathtub! It is very safe and we didn’t have to worry about slipping! I love the Keurig coffee maker in the room too. The breakfast was great, two different kinds of omelets, sausage, creamed biscuits, pastries, coffee, juice and much more.

The pool could of been warmer.

I have used this hotel numerous times. I like the location and hotel in general The air conditioning did not work in my room and I couldn't sleep well because of it.

Excellent good experience

My first time at this property for some riding. Staff was very friendly, entire property was very well maintained and impeccably clean. A decent hotel breakfast included. And to top it off, an awesome covered outdoor area to gather with a grill and blackstone for your convenience. Very impressed with this property. I will definitely be back!!!

Great location as a base camp for recreational activities and motorcycle riding. Close walk to nice downtown area with restaurants and bars.

The breakfast is the same as in most HI Express hotel, which I like the consistency. The beds were ok but too soft to my husband and son. Everything was well maintained and spotless.

Excellent breakfast. Lots to choose from. All hot and tasty. Preference is for homemade oatmeal but instant oatmeal is OK since there were numerous toppings available. Good coffee. Even liked the evening coffee availability and free cookeis.

Bed and pillows by far the worst ever from a holiday inn and I use there hotel a lot

Location was great. Pool was a big hit with the kids! Great breakfast and friendly staff. Nothing! Except room could have been a little bigger (bigger sitting area).

Great and convenient

Very clean hotel. Pool and hot tub area was excellent and well supplied with towels, hot tub had strong jets and was extremely well maintained. Breakfast had a large assortment of choices and wasn't your normal breakfast that most places offer, it actually had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes.
