The beach view was amazing and the room was so nice. I loved it.

We loved the room we had. Great view of ocean and pool. Loved the fact it was in walking distance for everything we wanted to see and eat. Was first trip to Daytona and will be my first pick for next stay. My mom has to use a scooter for getting around and had no problems exploring the hotel, getting to beach walk she looking forward to next visit.

Perfect place. Only complaint is when we we checked in the staff couldn’t find our payment that was made through Expedia.

Location We did not get the king oceanfront room we reserved & paid for instead to large grown adults had to sleep in a full size bed together. When we went back to the desk to let them know we had been given to wrong room we were told by an Asian guy working behind the desk that you don't always get what you want. I told him we should get what we paid for. He didn't change the room or offer us a refund of any kind. We reported him to white lady at the owners desk & she couldn't help us at all. Just said usually its 1st come got the best rooms. The description of my room on Booking.com says I paid for a King Oceanfront room. That is not what we got. We went sent to room 1810, has 2 full size beds in a room & a sleeper sofa. All of the appliances needed to be updated, the dishwasher was a disgrace. The door wouldn't close to wash the dishes. It was like the bottom rack was too big for the unit. We figured out how to angle it to get the door closed. There was not table to east at but a large counter & the only chairs were bars stools that were too tall for the counter. We had a thunderstorm on Saturday nite and apparently, it caused a leek in the ceiling in one of the bottom floors because someone with maintenance called at 10:30pm to let us know maintenance would be coming to check each room till they find the leek. I called back to the desk at midnight to let them know they would have to wait till Sunday morning to check our room. And they did show up about 10a.m. still hadn't found the leek, our room was on the 18th floor. We have decided that our family will not stay here again.

The fact I didn't get my deposit back for the second time.

Communication with the owners was easy, they emailed and texted throughout our stay. We arrived late at the property, and it was very easy to get checked in. The condo was just like photos, view is perfect. Kitchen had everything you would need.

The lazy river was nice. The oceanfront view was nice. Refrigerator made loud squeaking sounds, the little table outside had gooey candy stuck on it, the smoking section didn't have the table anymore outside, I did not like the south side compared to the north side. The light in the bedroom didn't always work.

It had everything you could need and want for you and your family! The main thing was how early the slide closed compared to everything else. Especially when your kids love the slide. When it comes to the evening when you’re probably going to relax at the hotel by the pool the slide is going to be closed.

Location was excellent. Very close to city walk and the pier. Parking was very convenient We loved that you could park on the same level as your room floor. No lugging your bags through the lobby and up the elevator. Pool was a bit crowded in mid June. If you want a chair by the pool, you have to be by the pool early. While they do have signs not to save chairs, it is happening. They are gone fast. The room was clean and spacious and had all the essentials. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Disappointing

This was our family’s 8th time staying at the Wyndham Oceanwalk and the worst. We had noticed a significant decline each time we’ve stayed, but this time has convinced us that we’re done and will never stay there again! Our room smelled so bad of cigarettes and dampness. It was so disgusting, that we had to leave early, I did not feel comfortable staying there. The parking garage was always full so there were cars parking on the sides of the ramps making it difficult to squeeze through. It’s a shame more care isn’t taken to maintain this resort as my kids and grandkids love the pools and lazy river.

Property has great location but rooms are very dated. Not that nice. Pool is good. Lots of construction tape everywhere though . The stay is very average.

The location was perfect. The beach access was amazing, the boardwalk was right next to us and the pools and pool bar were great when they were open. Our room was lovely with a good size balcony overlooking the ocean. The north side/south side tower treatment difference was insane. Many of the south tower residents, including us, felt like 2nd rate citizens even knowing how much we paid to be there. That the north tower people got special bracelets that let you in the gates when we had to have key cards was frustrating. Along with their special activities. The amount of pool closings was ridiculous. There was lack of structure and order to it. I understand the weather related stuff but the lazy river was closed at the whim of security every night and at differing times than listed depending on who was working. The pool bar could close early to weather but the indoor bar would not open even though many people asked. The pool deck itself being closed was ridiculous when the only smoking area was across the far side of the deck. The nightly abundance of traffic cones and caution tape was laughable. There were several times everyone would get called off the beach and out of the pools at once for weather related issues and the south tower would be blocked off entirely. One time we even had to go to the north side to get in the building (as we were directed to do since they already had their little traffic cones and tape blocking off the south tower entrance) and the guy was literally blocking off THAT door as people were trying to use it. It was joke. Calling everyone inside and simultaneously cutting off entrances was the height of stupidity for this resort. The elevators weren’t all working and were slow when they did causing a bottleneck of lines. The food was too expensive for what you got. There was much better value in the food truck on the beach than ordering anything at the actual resort. And more than once, we would come back to our room to find our door slightly ajar when we pulled it shut every time we left. So staff was letting themselves in during our stay but no cleaning or replenishing was done.
