The Westin Chicago River North

Clean room, great location

When we arrived, we were given a nice room with a great view; however, the room upon entry was musty smelling. The service staff did do their best to get rid of the odor since we liked the view and did not want to change rooms. It took two days of 'drying things out' with a dehumidifier. Thank goodness for 'Lisa'! The other thing that was bothersome was that just outside our room at the end of the hall was always a mess with debris, food service plates and just stray items that were unpleasant to see upon exiting or entering our room. For the conference I was attending, the downstairs bathroom was flooded and there were no signs or attention to the area for hours. Finally, they put a sign on a bathroom door, but they didn't even do anything about the ceiling that was dripping--very dangerous situation.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The views from the rooms were amazing!!!!! Especially at night.

Nice Closed to everything Walkable to everything Train closed by and all the attractions were walkable including foods. Nice area. Enjoy it

Very nice hotel and smelled wonderful. The caller parking fee is expensive but all the staff was very friendly. Our river view room had a gorgeous view, would definitely stay again.

Nothing Management was incompetent to deal with. I was actually the victim of fraud in that I was notified by Booking.com that someone with a different name using my credit card number was going to be staying at this hotel. I contacted the hotel and spoke to Maria about this and asked that this person be prevented from using that reservation and apprehended by the authorities if possible. She said she "investigated" and could not do anything to stop the fraud from occurring. As a result, I'm being charged for that stay even though I reported the fraud to Master Card and Booking.com. This should have been avoidable and reflects a lack of competence by management which will likely affect other guests' stays.

Great location and hotel. Spacious room with comfy bed. Only downside was restaurant was under remodeling. We will definitely go back.

Yes, the room was outdated depressing, toilet horrible very low water pressure, Decor of the room very old fashion, the sofa dirty and old. The bed was comfy but not the pillows. Shower did had good water pressure.
