The room was larger than I expected and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The linens of good quality and the choice of bottled water was a pleasant upgrade. The staff respected privacy and when engaged were helpful and friendly.

Messler/ Food and drinks from Messler were very tasty and the staff was nice.

Very nice hotel. But you would think since its a restaurant on site their would be microwaves in every room. No way to heat up my leftovers 😫

My biggest disappointment was the dining experience. There is no room service, which was inconvenient. I had breakfast at the restaurant and ordered an omelette, but it arrived hard and very brown. The staff were gracious about it and kindly offered me something else and reduced the cost, which I appreciated. I also had dinner at the restaurant, but unfortunately the food was just okay and lacked flavor. Given the overall quality and atmosphere of the hotel, I expected the dining experience to be stronger. Overall, Sophy is a lovely, comfortable hotel with beautiful spaces, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

The room was amazing. The location was great. No onsite parking but there was plenty of street parking.

Beautiful art work all throughout the hotel. Lots of food options in the neighborhood!

Everything about my stay was amazing. Even the customer service that was provided when I booked the wrong dates! Will definitely be staying here again, next time I'm in Chicago!

One of the best spots close to the lake in a beautiful neighborhood! You can’t beat the deal only thing could be better is dedicated parking. But you still can find a park nearby, overall one of the best hotels south of down town and really upscale

The Sophy is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Hyde Park. The rooms and bathroom are very spacious and the bed was very uncomfortable. Every staff member that I interacted with was extremely courteous and helpful.
