Chicago Lake Shore Hotel

Property seems like it was just bought and trying to be refurbished or on its way out. However if you want an value room that is clean and roomy this is a good spot.

Clean room with comfortable mattress, coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. Excellent location by the lake. Safe neighborhood in Hyde Park. Could go for a nice jog in the morning to the beach and back. Metra (5 min walk) takes you directly to the convention center. The price of the room will not break the bank :)

The bed was comfortable. Room smelled musty. INSANELY PRICED.

Convenient to downtown Elevator was down Toilet seats needed to be changed

The positive... the room was clean and updated. The bed and bedding was comfortable. The check in staff was nice. Parking was free and it was walking distance to Lakeshore trail. Close/ walking distance to nice cafes and Whole Foods and the Metra. Not Great: It is an older property...remnants of a pool and conference center. No ice machine You can and WILL hear those above you and those in the hallway... It was worth the price...I was prepared for a dirty run down spot but instead just a clean nicely updated room.

I like that parking is included I didn't like the check in time. I feel if there is a room available I should be able to check in.

Everything was fine, it was a simple stay, nothing went wrong, the staff was friendly and helpful, over all it was a good experience

No amenities but free parking very close to downtown Chicago

The pool was empty, the lobby had no bathroom and there was trash outside the room

It's a motel

Great location away from City traffic but you still had access to Lake Michigan and the bicycle path. Great parking and ideal for families that like to bicycle.

Free parking! Loads of nice places to eat near the hotel!

Very good

The room was fine. Very accessible. Free parking and a short walk to the Metra, which was sooo awesome. There were a couple dirty towels left hanging in the bathroom though, which is our only real complaint that it seems like it wasn't fully cleaned before we arrived.

The property was noisy with a terrible smell like a chemical factory. We moved out before we stayed a night. We were given a refund

The room was clean, the staff very helpful. Parking directly in front of the room. The location and pricing was great for our purposes.

No water in the pool.
