Ivy Boutique Hotel

The staff was super helpful our whole stay. This place is absolutely beautiful and will definetely be our go to hotel when we return to chicago! The rooms are huge and very comfortable. Thanks again for a great stay

Staff was nice and friendly

You can just tell that the property and rooms haven’t been maintained well over a long period of time. The room wasn’t necessarily dirty but the details are definitely overlooked. It’s like it was cleaned enough to appear clean at first glance. The terrace was not at all what it appears to be in the pictures, nor was the lounge. The terrace was also closed the whole time. Parking is not onsite as the description states. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay but it wasn’t as nice as it’s rated.

This hotel had a true boutique feel. Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend.

The only issue with IVY hotel is the roof lounge is closed and only for private party’s.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly. The soaking tub and shower were amazing after a long day of walking.

No decaf coffee or tea in the room but otherwise amazing stay. Close to the hospital which is why we were there. And when I ended up staying overnight after surgery, they accommodated my husband even though we had already checked out.

Carlos was so great and full of energy, he was super delightful and such a genuine person please give this man a raise he is a one of a kind worker! The bar was easy to order from and the room was clean and comfortable! Parking is down the street but it’s less than a 5 minute walk, the location of the hotel is perfect tons of shopping and good food places near by!

Great location, beautifully designed bathroom with an incredible shower, room was nicely put together and had working temperature control. I also liked that the room wasn't carpeted like most other hotels are so it felt a lot cleaner. Overall a really great value for the price. Unfriendly check-in, staff member (who was not wearing a name tag) didn't really greet me or make me feel welcome. He was short with his words and sassy with me, despite being perfectly nice to other guests around me. It felt oddly targeted and possibly racially motivated. I also had requested a quiet room in the booking and got put directly in front of the elevator, though I realize that the room type I requested was probably the only unit of its kind on the floor.

The staff was great warm and friendly! Location was walking distance to and from where we needed to be... My eleven-year-old granddaughter was excited about the bathtub which she happened to like. What I didn't like was the first-floor view of alley and vacant building. I watch homeless people congregating eating and throw waste on ground. The room itself was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again, but it will not be on first floor!

Very clean room polite staff

The staff day of arrival was not helpful or friendly there were no amenities and the bathroom set up was awkward. The bed was very low on the ground. The smell after cleaning smelt like aftershave.

Loved the location! In the heart of everything. Staff were also amazing. My only critique would be the a/c. It was practically nonexistent in my room and it was a very hot weekend. Definitely would recommend though!

Great location!!! It’s a small hotel and the check in counter is connected to the bar. This isn’t a fancy place but it’s clean, our room was large with a nice bathroom, and it’s in a perfect location for exploring the city.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel made it ideal for the Magnificent Mile and the bus service. Will definitely stay here again
