Church Street Inn Historic Charleston, Ascend Collection Hotel

Possibly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! From the moment we walked in the door, everyone treated us like we were their only customers, and that they were excited we were there. Anything we asked for we got right away. The 2-story room was very spacious the way it was laid out, and my wife thought it was super cute! The location was right in the heart of the historic French Quarter, and just a short walk from wherever you wanted to go. Charleston is an amazing city, and we had a great trip … and The Church Street Inn was one of the biggest reasons why! If we’re ever back in Charleston, we will definitely stay here again.

It was a great location. We were able to walk to most places.

The room was clean, the accommodations were up to date and comfortable. We accidentally left a few items behind in the upstairs kitchen and refrigerator and the staff called us after we checked out to let us know and all items were returned. Excellent service.

The location was perfect for what we wanted. The night staff when we checked in was friendly and the morning staff and general manager when we checked out were also friendly. The room was amazing, we had never seen a loft style hotel room before, and we fell in love. We definitely will be keeping this on the list of places to stay when we come back through Charleston.

Smelled like an old house. No parking on the property which would have been good info to have before booking. Paid almost $300 for the room which was way over priced for the property.

The location and staff were excellent! We didn’t get to have access to the fitness center because of renovations

Perfect location and the staff was so nice and very friendly. Our room was very clean and the extra room by having a sitting area and the bedroom upstairs was the best. There was the extra benefit of having the best art gallery next door with an excellent choice of artists.
