Fairfield Inn & Suites Santa Cruz - Capitola

Well maintained, well appointed room, very quiet, comfortable beds, easy parking, lots of choices at breakfast, short drive to the beach, GREAT burger place about 2 blocks away (Betty’s). I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel making a mistake is one thing. Repeatedly telling guests they need to move because “important people” are coming is humiliating and completely unacceptable. I have always had a positive impression of Marriott, so this treatment was especially disappointing.

Room size for a family of five - perfect! Breakfast was good with nice choices. Kids loved the pool and hot tub Nothing, very happy with our night here

The staff is just ok. I arrived around 9pm and no one was at the front desk but there was a very tall tower of room keys stacked up at the counter! I knocked on the back door, nothing. Took only 5 minutes or so before someone showed up. Once the front desk person arrived they were helpful and checked in no problems. The morning of check out, I was loading my baggage in my car in the garage parking lot and accidentally tapped the car next to me with my drivers side door. There was a person in the car and they scolded me for “hitting their car” and checked to make sure there wasn’t a scratch. I apologized, and was a bit embarrassed- I did tap their car. No scratch. But what was not so great was that the person in the car was actually an employee who had been at the front desk earlier! I understand we all have “off” days but really didn’t make me feel like coming back here anytime soon.

Our room had access to the patio, which was super cool to be able to just open up your door and walk out on the patio right Across to the pool. They also had bocce ball court. The breakfast was fantastic, but as I've said in the past about quite a few hotels, they should have a microwave available, so you can reheat your food because it cools off pretty fast. It's kind of a bummer, when you can't even melt your butter on your waffle, or your eggs get cold quickly. Overall the hotel was beautiful.

Excellent place to stay

The room and entire hotel was very well organized and clean. The breakfast in the morning was great and had so many different options. Great location and we loved their locked parking lock underneath the hotel. It opens with your room key. Highly attentive staff who are quick to help you out however they can. Would absolutely stay again!

Hvac didn't work and noisy on first floor but parking is great and location staff acomidating
