Rhett House Inn

I appreciated the greeting by the staff. They were very welcoming and kind. The room was clean and cool. Desserts and breakfast were tasty. I would definitely recommend The Rhett House Inn.

My room could have been a little more upscale and definitely include a mini fridge. But the main observation was the very dirty rugs......the staircase carpet and the floors in my room were filthy.

In the main house there is no bar, the restaurant is just a breakfast room with no other food served. There are some decent restaurants nearby. When i saw the manager she refused a refund saying they had held the room for us, even though i booked it that same afternoon and other “Cottage” rooms were still available, proving there was no-one turned away because we had booked that day. She was rude and aggressive when i told her i would refuse the cc charge that had been made, telling me I wouldn’t win and should would not argue with me further. We had to pay for another room in a nearby hotel just to get out of that place. Altogether a very unpleasant experience.

If you’re into the film history of the area many famous actors and actresses have stayed here. I’d recommend asking who stayed in which rooms if you were interested in choosing a room with a connection to an actor you liked

The staff here go way above and beyond. The place has tons of character and is well adapted with modern amenities. Great location also. We left before we could try the breakfast, but the homemade desserts they put out in the evening were outstanding!

They have a fridge and coffee maker in each room. Well appointed. Plus our room had a jacuzzi tub with seperate Large shower. Plus our own porch with 2 rocking chairs. One short block to waterfront. LOVED this very southern property. Room also had a working fireplace! OH AND DONT forget a FULL breakfast menu - FREE

Stayed there during the Beaufort Water Festival and had a challenge with my wife's arrival that was going to cause me a few headaches. I explained my situation to Jeanette who was checking me in and she went above and beyond to instantly solve and was so kind and gracious while doing it. This place defines Southern Charm and Hospitality. Will stay here again for sure!

The Rhett House is someplace you need to stay at in Beaufort, built in the 1800's and very well kept up with modern times....The Rhett House offers charm and beauty to downtown Beaufort...Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!!! I would suggest Room #3!!

The staff was absolutely wonderful from check-in to breakfast the next morning . to have the opportunity to stay in a beautiful historic home is always exciting. Would highly recommend. Stairs. You just have to know in advance that an old house like that is gonna have lots of stairs in the low country.

Everything was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing! The location was perfect, could walk everywhere. Can’t wait to stay here again!

A gorgeous inn, beautifully restored. We stayed in a separate house, adjacent to the Inn. Equally beautiful with generous proportions. The staff were fantastic and gave us lots of advice, not just about the area, but for the rest of our trip, which was invaluable. Highly recommended. Nothing.
