Shelter Harbor Inn

Being a handicapped person with mobility issues the check in was horrid. We brought everything in to finally relax in our room, to be told we were located in "the barn". She walked us outside and pointed to the barns location. Had to put everything BACK in our vehicle and drive to the location, as I could not walk the distance. It would have been greatly appreciated if we knew what building we were going to be in and my husband could have just received the key. The room...ugh!

We have been going to Shelter Harbor Inn for decades. After its most recent renovations, the Inn is absolutely beautiful. The design of the inn is lovely. The grounds are stunning. And very importantly, the staff is excellent. There was some confusion re our check in and both the young woman who checked us in (Laci V) and the young woman who checked us out (Laci M) handled the situation perfectly. Sadly, we were only there for one night most recently but we will return.

People were awful nice there were no amenities food awesome had to ask for clean towels room looked like it hadn’t been dusted in weeks but personal were awesome that we delt with

We enjoyed our two night stay very much. Our room in the carriage house (#24) was very generous, comfortable, and quiet. A special attraction of the Inn is the shuttle service to beautiful Weekapaug Beach, which is otherwise restricted to residents. Dining and bar rooms within the main building are low ceilinged, dark, and noisy -- we enjoyed the modest breakfast and drinks outside on the terrace. Two quibbles: we would have preferred earlier coffee service (started at 8) and robes in the room.

Stay was wonderful- front desk needs some work!! Didn’t really tell us much didn’t let us know there were chairs we could take the beach even though we asked directions to the beach!! Not very helpful barely said hello besides that it was great!

Beyond amazing- great food, beautiful room, fabulous area. Price was also excellent - will be returning - could not be better!

It's a special place, I'd love to go in the warmer months and hang out at a fire pit and use the spa services!

Room was musty smelling and accent pillows were tattered. Likely due to pet friendly room. Breakfast ok. Would recommend egg option at least hard boiled.

I like the location and being able to get up and run without having to travel anywhere im the car. The location was at the beginning of the road to a nice neighborhood with with a salt marsh at the end. I liked the ambiance of the building and room we were in. We were there to see the Thomas Dambo trolls and was a great location to do that. The bed wasn't super comfortable but wasn't bad. It was quite warm in the room but we probably could have turned the mini split off.

The staff was courteous, the room was comfy and clean and the restaurant n bar served tastey food and drinks

The hotel was lovely. They kindly upgraded us upon arrival. The coffee was very good and not just above average for a hotel. The bathroom was spacious which again is very nice for an older hotel. The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed our night!

Fantastic stay at Shelter Inn. Perfect for the holiday weekend, quaint but newly renovated property and walking distance from the water. Will certainly stay again next time we are in town!

We had a one night, wonderful, stay where we enjoyed excellent food and a delightful cocktail, in an inviting restaurant/bar with a wood-burning fireplace. We stayed in one of the rooms with a gas fireplace, and the room was super clean, well appointed, and bright. We travel to the Narragansett area on somewhat of a regular basis and will absolutely choose the shelter Harbor Inn again.
