Nice

The hotel was overall amazing...and in a nice location too! The view of the Capitol from the rooftop sushi bar, the Wharf just about 10mins away by walk, and if you are touring DC, every site you may be looking for is a walking distance. Notice I'm not talking about the rooms and staff coz these were already above board. Enjoyed my stay!

Wonderful

My fault for not knowing this was a microhotel, but the room was priced a double the normal rate and no refund for cancelling....which I would have done after checking their pricing a day before our trip. I've never paid $,300 for a 3 nite stay in a closet. Price goufinging is unacceptable.

Very affordable boutique hotel with unique design.

The staff are polite. The gay decor is overwhelming, best described as IN YOUR FACE!!!! After ten days of this I can say with certain I will choose another brand of hotel.

Room was great though surprised at how compact it was. That been said the design was well planned out and worked fine for the 2 of us. Staff was friendly and helpful.
-
The clean room and staff, and air conditioning was top tier. We will definitely go back and highly recommend to others.

Everything about our stay was fantastic.

Arrived to check in and there was one person at the “check in desk”, not very helpful. It was pretty much self service with not much help. I asked about checking out an hour later than the 11am checkout the next day, they said it would cost me $67 to do that, I declined. We got there early for an event we were attending in the city so we could eat dinner at the hotel before we left. The bartender informed us that the kitchen was closed and the ovens were not working because they had left them on too long, so we were unable to eat dinner there. There were only a total of 3 employees running the entire place between the restaurant and the the “check in” desk. We went up to our room for the first time and walked into a room so small and narrow. It was smaller than a master bedroom closet in a nice house. I have stayed in larger quarters in the basement of a cruise ship. The bed was against the window, so one could not stand up and look out of the window and when I had to get up to use the restroom, I had to crawl over my wife in the bed to get out. The pictures of the room for the online advertising were completely misleading. We spoke wit several other guests that we met at the hotel and they all had the same experience and felt the same. I am a Marriott rewards member and I have never had a more disappointing experience at a hotel. I will be using my Hilton Rewards in the future. I will never go back to the citizenM Marriott.
