The Inn at River Landing

Outside of the hotel and the lobby give a nice first impression. Our room smelled incredibly musty and was humid, despite having the a/c on. The a/c unit has visible mold in the vents. The door to the bathroom did not lock or even latch. The faucet in the shower felt like it could fall off any second.

Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and staff was friendly and professional.

We had a great stay at River Landing Hotel! Everything was wonderful. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and we really enjoyed our time there. The only suggestion I would make is to upgrade the TVs to Smart TVs with access to streaming apps such as Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. That would make relaxing in the room even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely stay here again!

The only thing about the room that was negitive is the shower head needs ro be replaced. Everything else was great

Roomy!! Clean! Quiet.! There were many weekend travelers for Duplin winery.

Modern updated hotel. Excellent breakfast. We always stay here. We come down every 4 to 5 months, to see family. The staff is great.

We did a last minute trip and ended up staying here on our way to Wrightsville beach. Very nice place, went to bar next door and had a couple drinks and live music. Hotel very nice and staff very helpful. Breakfast next morning was good also. Would definitely stay here again.

Front Desk person was very helpful. Breakfast bar had better than average hot food. Room was fine, bed was firm and comfortable, fabric chairs a bit "sticky."

Nice property with no outside noise. Nice breakfast prepared by a lady who obviously takes great pride in her job (she was excellent as was her biscuits and gravy dish). Unfortunately, the floors/ceilings are thin and flimsy enough to allow you to hear everything in the room above you. I’m pretty sure the people above my room had a small child who was preparing for the upcoming PeeWee football season by running wind sprints from the door to window and back again for about two hours. The hotel was practically empty so I cannot figure out why the receptionist didn’t spread the few guests out more so they wouldn’t disturb each other. Seems like convenience for the cleaning staff was prioritized above the guest experience. My experience wasn’t terrible, but with just a little forethought on the part of the hotel staff, it could’ve been much, much better. (And don’t say I could’ve reported it and gotten another room…once you’re unpacked and settled-in, who would want to move at that point? C’mon!) And I’ll mention her one more time - the lady who prepared the breakfast was wonderful and did a Great job.

Housekeeper stole my ring and when I called to retrieve it, every person stated that hosuekeeping was not there and that their items were locked up. I called multiple times over a period of 3 weeks.

The staff was nice with the exception of one blond headed lady who was having a bad day. We all have them from time to time. The unit was clean and worth the stay. Not a lot of loud noises. My only complaint is the breakfast. It was the same everyday and I stayed for three nights. They do not have a waffle iron or foods like grits, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, toast or decent pastries. They had blue berry cupcakes and a creme bre'lle danishes as the only two choices. There is no swimming pool. It is hot and that would have been a plus. All in all I would give them a 75 out of 100. This is the only hotel in town and yes I would stay again. I would eat at another restaurant in the area for breakfast.
