Perfect location, not all rooms have AC, so if that is a need, make sure you request in advance.

The hotel had to keep the front door locked to keep the homeless out. There is no air conditioning so the windows had to be open all night with car alarms going off constantly.

While understanding this is an older hotel, things you should know before you go. 1. There are no ceiling lights in the living area -- only the bathroom. There was a light next to the table by the bed; however, there are no outlets to plug it in. 2. If you use a CPAP or other equipment while sleeping there is no place to plug them in. 3. Furniture - there was one table next to the bed and no place nearby to charge your phones or other electrical equipment. There are plugs on a couple of walls but they do not reach the bed. There are no dressers, there is a 4-cube shelf that the TV sets on. The bed was a single mattress on a frame. The frame made noise every time you rolled over or moved in the bed. 4. Nice surprise was the refrigerator and microwave. 5. No housekeeping although we stayed three nights. There were not enough towels in room to accommodate two guests and if you wanted new, you had to exchange them at the front desk (very rough, budget towels). You must also ask for coffee daily. 6. Noisy location with people sleeping and doing drugs on the boardwalk below the room. They provide earplugs. The first person that checked us in was exceptional. They scheduled window washing between 9-4 on one of our days and required us to arrange our vacation plans around their schedule. We brought our cat and did not want people coming in or out without our presence.

Horrible staff

Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. The staff seem like they hate it there. The room was horrible, no AC and the fan they give you is as old as the room. Will never stay here again.

The room and bath is bare bones. Clean but simple. Location is prime. Quiet area. Comfortable bed. No AC. Nice beach views. Each room has a fridge.

Very good location We stayed there for a day, and they charged 250$ deposit, and we didn’t get it why, any other hotels we stayed in (mariott,hilton) they charged 10-20$. And it wasn’t clean

Spacious room and extremely helpful front desk personnel. My room had a fan, so the windows were open. The Venice Beach Club plays loud music on Saturday night.

My stay was pleasant. I do wish I had access to a toaster oven and had some utensils in the room.

The customer service was just as bad, if not worse. The staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful when concerns were brought to their attention. Paul, the general manager, was especially disappointing. I genuinely do not understand how he is the general manager based on the way he communicated with guests and handled the situation. You would expect someone in that position to be professional, understanding, and willing to help resolve legitimate problems, but that was not my experience at all. Between the lack of air conditioning, the cleanliness issues, the poor condition of the hotel, and the terrible customer service, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. Management should seriously reconsider how this property is being run and how guests are treated. I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else.
