La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Detroit Southgate

The hotel was good value. Rooms were large, clean and air conditioned. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast worked well for us.

There was syrup in the elevator and I told staff. 1 hour later it was still there in touched. The rooms were dirty. Furniture wasn’t cleaned and bed was not the greatest. Breakfast was lame

The room was clean but overall needs updating. The breakfast selections were poor they only had waffles, cereal, bagels and toast.

Was ok

I had booked one night but then booked another separate night to stay a total of three nights. I mentioned this when I got there and she said it was no problem. After my first night I was locked out. The new receptionist said she didn’t show me booked there and shows I was charged as a no show. I showed her my room key/card and explained to her my separate bookings and that I had originally mentioned this. She was able to figure it out.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly, and everything was well-kept. However, the room had a strong odor.

Plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Bed mattresses need to be upgraded.Air conditioning unit worked well but would also need some upgrades there too.

Parking was convenient and room was clean.

The place smelled like pot…

They changed my room and TV didn’t work. I asked the staff to have it fixed and it still didn’t work the second night. I was really disappointed with the property.

It was an OK property, depending on prices of nearby hotel I might stay again.

There was a mistake made at booking on my end. The hotel rectified it very quickly for us. Excellent customer service and support.

Overall great choice

Nice clean room, very nice staff, good breakfast buffet, alot of parking. I stay at La Quinta quite often, due to my kids live in lower Michigan. La Quinta is a nice hotel.

No room service on Sat or Sun (no clean towels, no trash pick up, no bathroom clean up, nothing). When we complained, staff at front desk said they were”busy” then said they didn’t service rooms on the weekend.

The staff was great! The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was a continental meal. Waffles were good though, but just no meat and eggs. Overall our stay was comfortable for a weekend family reunion stay.

The Staff was great and very friendly. They resolved my issues immediately and they were very knowledgeable. And the breakfast was good.
