Pool completely out of order as of late August 2026, no one at front desk to check in so had to leave and come back even though I had a reservation. Dirty rooms especially floors, had to switch rooms due to bugs and then was given a key to a room that wasn’t ready, then a key for a room a guest was already staying in. I did still spend the night in the fourth room. All around not a good experience and don’t recommend.

The courtyard The toilet had pee on it when we checked in. There was glitter all over the room. When we checked in they were very unprofessional. Once again, the pool was closed for cleaning- like every other time we have stayed there. Two days after we were there I noticed they charged me for my room even though I pre paid through Booking.com. When I called they were very rude and said the manager would call me back. I had to ask if she wanted my number. She sounded annoyed I did. Will not stay there again nor recommend to anyone else

Overall, the stay was ok. We had issues with check-in- we didn't get the room we reserved. But they were able to fix the issue. Our keys de-activated halfway through our stay, which was annoying, but the staff was super quick to get them fixed. The breakfast wasn't great- not a ton of options. The pool area was closed the entire time we were there, which I guess is a very common occurrence.

Breakfast.... only a few pasteries. We went to Ihop. The A/C was on and our room nice and cool when we arrived Shower head wasnt attached correctly... spraying water up onto ceiling. There was a hole in hallway wall... with the piece of sheetrock and debris left. No one at front desk at 7am even tho sign said someone would be there at 6am. And no one picked up desk phone where you were supposed to be able to reach someone. Only 1 bath towel... 2 of us staying... had to go to desk for another towel.

The South Dakota lodging license on display at front desk expired 12/2025. The front desk laughed and said they knew. Cold AC and comfortable beds though. Would NOT stay again.

There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The breakfast was not good. The pool area was not very clean, especially the stairs to the waterslide.

I have stayed in some pretty bad motels and this one rates right up there. Pictures online are deceptive. Very dirty, room had bugs all around and carpet was filthy. I reserved a suite and that was not a suite. Hot tub shut down and pool was nasty. Don’t waste your time or money. Only good thing was the lady at the front desk when I checked in. People live there full time. I just needed a place to get a few hours sleep in my way to Sturgis.

Quiet rooms Having to switch rooms
-
good place with bare amenities at decent price

Staff needs to be trained properly on how to do their job. Staff has no customer service skills. Instead of having guest check their room for cleanliness and to see if the key works the staff has the customer do it and just sits at the desk or disappears when needed. I won’t be back to this hotel not worth the money.

Price during the Sioux Empire Fair It wasn't good when we walked in the door to check in and the guy was on his cell phone, and we had to wait for him to get off his phone. The hallways had garbage in them with pool towels throughout the hallways.

Most of the staf was pleasant . Ruded purple haired staff

I called even before I booked the room which was like 4 days before the reservation asking if hot tub and pool were open, and was told yes. That was the the ONLY reason we booked that hotel. Get there pool was Closed. Room smelt bad had to buy a room spray for it. Bed was so uncomfortable I wasn't even able to sleep the entire night. Staff was friendly but other than that I was very unhappy with hotel.
