Hotel Stratford San Francisco - Handwritten Collection

The one thing I had some difficulty was (initially) was the AC. It wouldn't turn on and after going through the settings for 10 min, I saw there was a slot in the wall labeled "insert card". I inserted my hotel key card and saw the AC was powered and allowed me to turn it on. After that it was fine. I was given two key cards by the staff when I checked in so it was no issue for me to leave one card for the AC. Oh, the other weird thing is that to use the elevator you need to tap your room key card first before you can press a button (to go up). Going down into the lobby required no tap. The hotel is connected to Nave Cafe, which is nice for anyone that wants a cup of coffee or tea or a little snack. It wasn't an issue for me since I was staying for two nights, but I noticed that there wasn't a drawer for clothes. Only hooks and hangars. So be aware of that. I do wish there was a mini fridge for any leftovers I bring from eating out, but that may be a bit extra and there is not much space in the room. Overall I liked staying here and slept well in the two nights I was there.

This is a nice place to stay for the most part. I didn’t like the loud, squeaky cleaning cart and hallway chatter of the housekeeping staff late at night. My room was small, just as described. It was perfect for me, a single traveler. Be aware the shower stall is a bit small. Tall people or people with a larger body type may have a hard time showering. The complimentary coffee was also nice. I loved the location too.

Excellent location and value for location! Very clean, simple rooms and the coffee breakfast was a nice bonus.

Great stay! The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was great, and everything was exactly as expected. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. The Location is a plus.

It’s close to the BART train station First, they told me they overbooked and just told us that they cannot find our reservation through the thirs party (Booking). Second, we booked the queen bed but was given twin beds instead (again because they overbooked). The least they could do was to give us a complimentary upgrade since it’s not our fault that they overbooked. Third, every night/early in the morning, we always hear knocking on the wall. SO WE CANNOT SLEEP PROPERLY! Lastly, they do not store luggage when checking out. P.S. The room has no aircondition. That should be emphasized every booking.
