Hampton Inn San Francisco Downtown/Convention Center

They canceled my reservations. Didn't feel the need to let me know until we arrived at 12am to check in after driving 3 hours there. So that was unfortunate.They charged my card a billion times which didnt go thru due to my card being locked. It said online "pay at the property" it didnt say prepayment needed. So by the time I was told my card declined I was like well yea duh its locked, lemme unlock it first. And I couldn't because of the now fraud alerts froze my account. Was then told Im SOL. And asked to leave. Unprofessional and rude

Clean room, helpful staff, but the area can be suspect at night. Make sure to be dropped off at the main entrance if you're arriving at night. We requested and paid an up charge for city view, but got a parking lot view instead.

The hotel room itself was very comfortable and very clean. Bed was super comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. I have two complaints. No onsite parking. I get that the hotel is in a big city. But $72 a night to park??!!! Crazy! And the temperature inside the rest of the hotel was warm. The breakfast area was way too warm!

Hotel was nice, rooms were small but everything was updated. Only downfall was the location, homeless EVERYWHERE. Including outside the front doors. Good thing is the hotel stay locked 24/7 so there was that sense of security. Breakfast was good, good variety.

The location is in need of attention. The hotel is fine however the location is run down and has plenty of homeless people very closely located to the property. The hotel was fine. The location disappointing.

The area is really bad homeless people everywhere and really dirty . The hotel was clean just old . Also my check in time was 3 and the room was not ready wasn’t able to get into my room until 3:40- 3:50 . The staff wasn’t really helpful about my room not being ready . Honestly wouldn’t bring my kids here again and don’t recommend no one to either . The breakfast was good . I got a city view and my view was a brick wall and when we mentioned to the staff they didn’t know . Staff wasn’t really helpful with anything . We also heard gunshots around 3am .

Our stay was good and the staff were great. I didn’t know we have to pay for the hotel parking and there were no parking available when we arrived. It was cheaper to park somewhere else. 😔
