By the beach, perfect location if you are ok with constant Pacific Ocean wave noise Dirty and old overall

A few things that you should know before you go. Please do not read these as criticisms, they are not. But they are things I would want to know before going. First, there are no indoor gathering spaces. We are a family that likes to play games and cards, etc. I didn't check ahead of time, so that's on me. There are places to sit outside by the pool. There is also not a full compliment of cable channels on the TV. Most did not work for us. And there is no way to connect a device to the TV to stream. Again, not a criticism, it is not something that I checked for or was promised. Just something I wish I had, as we like to watch movies at night. There are several great places to get food. One is the World Famous restaurant. This is a standard sit down restaurant. Good prices. They have a great bar menu and small plates, so there is something for every budget. There is also Woody's, which has burgers, fries and a great fish & chips. They also have coffee drinks and breakfast. There is a small mexican place across the parking lot that has great food at affordable prices. And a small liquor store with a variety of drinks and snacks. All told we had a great time!

The location is unbeatable. This hotel is a much better value than others nearby. I wish their pool was open later. Please consider having quiet pool hours for adults!

Location - on the beach. Very friendly front desk. For the price, I expected to get the TV stations on their list. Got half. Apparently its been an issue for awhile. Still is.

This hotel is perfect proximity to the beach, restaurants, Worlds famous and Wooly's, you can't beat it! I mean there are other restaurants nearby, but these two are right there!! The bonus is it's a Non-smoking property, so the rooms are clean and the patio was smoke free. We had a little issue, but that was quickly resolved! Thank you, Angel! The front Staff, Angel, was great, very attentive! If you need anything, hopefully he's working when you check-in. The room to our surprise (not even sure why, as if I didn't book it) but came with a microwave, fridge and a coffee pot. While there isn't a standard AC, there is AC. Just be prepared it's more of a portable one that doesn't move. Ours was right next to the bed and front door, but it did it's job. The only issue I encountered was the bathroom wasn't as clean as it should've been. It looked clean but there was hair from the previous occupant on the wall, that was discovered during my shower. YUCK! I informed Angel upon checkout and it took my feedback well and ensured they'd do better.

I have mobility issues and it was right near the beach which was good - the restaurant they had next-door World Famous was excellent I just wish there would’ve been an ADA access to the beach nearby

The location is incredible, BUT… prepare for no sleep. The rooms are NOT soundproof (we could literally hear every step and item dropped in the room above us.) The a/c ventilation struggled so everything was very humid. And as for the king and pull out sofa - don’t count on using the sofa bed. When it’s pulled out, it touches nearly the opposite wall. So just to get into the bathroom, you have to do a fancy sidestep shimmy (which sucks if you use the washroom multiple times a night). Amazing location though. Great for one or two people that can sleep through anything. Tough for families to fit though. Sooo close to the beach, you can feel the salt and sand as soon as you step out of your door. But beware! The parking at the hotel DOES NOT come with the room - you must pay!

Location location location!!

Horrible experience the room had numerous issues from the AC to us losing power at a minimum 5x before staff finally decided to move us in the middle of the night which is very inconvenient as a single women and my young child. The area is not the best at night so you can imagine how that felt having to pack up a room and move to another.

The staff at Surfer Beach Hotel are always friendly and helpful. The views are awesome, especially if you are stay on floor 4. Can’t beat the sunset views from the balcony. Great stay for a reasonable price.

Unfortunately I can’t say much good about the helpfulness of staff. My family lost power in our room and had a rather unpleasant runaround with the front desk, maintenance, and management as well as a very uncomfortable hot day/night. We were told that maintenance would be on site in 10 minutes and this didn’t happen until the next day. It’s a long story but multiple contacts to the desk felt poorly handled and put off. The power situation was ultimately rectified and the manager apologized and asked how he could make it better. I said that a meal at the restaurant downstairs would make everything totally better but he said he couldn’t do that. I have trouble believing that it would be impossible to somehow vouch for a meal. Then after more runaround I was told I would be given $100 through Expedia and I’ve waited a month with no such refund for our trouble. It has left a poor taste in my mouth about this hotel. The loss of power is forgivable but getting the runaround for so long is poor business.

You cannot beat the view, you’re literally right on the beach. Rooms were clean, but be prepared to have sand everywhere since the beach is right there. Staff was super friendly and helpful, our flight landed at 7am, they held our bags and got us checked in 2 hours early with an upgraded room. There are also 2 restaurants connected to the hotel and walking distance to everything you could need. We would absolutely stay here again.
