Omni San Diego Hotel at the Ballpark

Wonderful hotel! (Would have loved a midnight snacks concession.:))

Staff was very helpful and polite.

Brought my daughter down for a long weekend away from home, and to see MCR’s Black Parade 20 year anniversary tour. We had the best weekend, and the stay at The Omni made it even better! We were able to use the guest only bridge entry to Petco Park and we beat all the crowds getting into our event. That in and of itself was enough to make me love the Omni! The hotel was clean and quiet, and the bell staff was friendly and helpful. Felt like Ritz luxury, but at a much more affordable price point! Thanks, Omni! We will be back!

Clean property and staff were very kind and helpful! Chose the hotel specifically because we were attending a concert at Petco Park and the Skybridge access made the entrance and exit a breeze! Within 7 min of the concert ending we were back in our room! Would stay here again!

This is a beautiful hotel conveniently located next to Petco Park Stadium. The breakfast and pool area are great and the room was really nice with comfortable beds and styled beautifully. Our stay was great and I look forward to staying here again for future visits to San Diego.

Nice property and nice room. Great place to stay if you have business to attend at Petco park. Parking is the down fall. Once you arrive they’ll tell you that the only option is valet which is $70 a night ridiculous. They’ll refer to public parking 5 blocks up to scare you int valet. The parking garage that they use to valet that is right in front of the hotel is $25 over night! Don’t use valet. Save the money.

Our room was very spacious, exceptionally clean, and comfortable. The property itself is very well maintained and gives the impression of being newer, even if it may not be. We also really enjoyed the included breakfast—it was a great perk and had a very nice selection. The only area where we felt the experience could have been better was the pool service. One of the ladies working there was extremely kind and attentive, but another staff member seemed to be having a difficult day and unfortunately did not acknowledge us or check in on us at all. Even a quick greeting or letting us know they would be with us shortly would have made a difference. We tried not to let it affect our experience, but it did make the pool service feel a little off. He seemed to only stock the wines but I could hear him complaining throughout his shift. The plastic wine cups were also not clean. The worker had mentioned that all of them look like that, but I rubbed it off and they were just dried old watermarks. Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. The friendly front desk staff, spacious and clean rooms, beautiful and well-maintained property, and included breakfast made it a great experience overall. We would happily stay here again!

All staff including front desk, valet, bell hops… all super friendly, helpful, and overall very nice. The rooms were perfect and clean and the amenities were cool. Definitely looking to book here again in the future

I’ll preface this review first . We’ve stayed here around 5 times prior to this visit . It’s been our go to hotel every time we visit San Diego . We loved it for location , pool , rooms and views . But the 2026 visit was not so great . We had a room that had no draws to put clothes in . Just the wardrobe. We had 1 day when I’m not really sure what room service did as beds not made . It says on the website 2 bottles of water provided each day . We had 3 days with non supplied . We had a coffee machine and 2 days had no coffee pods or milk cartons replenished or the disposable cups . The pool area used to be great but it’s been monetised now . Selling beds to non residents so a lot have reserved tags on . Plus it was more like a Mediterranean trip now . We came down on our first full day in San Diego and most of the available beds had been reserved with towels . No people just towels laid out and some random piece of clothing or personal item placed on bed . Some days the reserved beds went unused or were only occupied late on in the afternoon . Never seen this in a U.S. hotel before . Often saw people leave the area after coming down in an afternoon when no where to sit . Last day my partner read an email that said take advantage of late check out for $75 . As we were on a 19.00 departure back to UK we decided this would be ideal . Went to front desk and they refused to extend . After 6 visits our next visit to SD will be at a new location . Very disappointing for almost £3K

For most part it was a great stay but the $70 daily parking fee in my opinion is unreasonable. The bathroom door doesn’t close completely. Very uncomfortable while I stayed there with my adult children. We needed to use the outside lobby restrooms. We needed to stay in the away from the bathroom area while someone was showering to provide them privacy.

The room was clean and the staff was awesome. The hallway wasn't that great and smell bad. No airflow really. The stay was okay overall.
