Lafayette Hotel & Club

Me and a couple of friends did a staycation at the Lafayette to celebrate my friends engagement and it was absolutely fabulous. The staff left us a nice little surprise in our room consisting of champagne and some fruit. It was so sweet. We spent the whole day at the pool on Sunday and then went to dinner outside of the hotel but came back later for a night cap. Always love spending time at the Lafayette and cannot wait to go back. A final thank you again to all the amazing staff!

This is a party hotel, do not be fooled by the Michelin key as there is nothing luxurious about the accommodation. The restaurants and bar are nice, the rooms are small, cluttered, and dark. There’s no housekeeping at all, there were leftover items from a previous guest in my room so I question if they even cleaned it. The pool is accessible to non-guests and it gets packed, it totally ruins the ambiance. Overall, there’s nothing wrong per se with this hotel, it’s just not my vibe at all. I do have to say the guys at the valet were super nice. On a final note, I did not complain about any of these issues at the front desk because I hate to be that person, so there was no chance for the staff to do anything about it. Needless to say I wouldn’t stay here again but would definitely visit to get a drink or have a nice meal.

Amazing hotel. Staff are prompt to help fix any issue you have. Beautiful interior and lots of amenities onsite. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, they think of all the details! It’s stunning. And the most comfortable beds and pillows. Food and drinks are great. Everything A+. It’s a bit of a scene and a late night crowd…so come ready to have fun!!

Only 1 robe for 2 people in the room. For coffee, no sweetner or sugar or creamer. There was no shower gel, container was empty.

The room was small but fabulous! The attention to detail stands out at this hotel! If you’re looking for a quiet evening atmosphere this is not the place! The hotel is low key in the morning but that changes quickly once the music starts playing at the pool mid morning!! We absolutely loved the pool party! If you’re lucky enough to get a chair by the pool you’ll have a dedicated waitress bringing you drinks and food all afternoon! So fun!! I will say trying to get a drink at the bar on a Friday night was straight up crazy! It took an hour! Not complaining just saying! We ate at the diner every morning! It was so good! The early morning staff on the weekend at the diner was wonderful! Really I have no complaints! We had a wonderful time!

This is our Third time at the Lafayette in SD and we are looking for to another visit next month. We always stay here when we visit our kid at the University. It’s such a fun vibe and great for pool time, dinner, bar or super club. Lafayette is Amazing

The hotel has a funky smell and you can hear everything that’s going on outside and next door rooms. The place is beautiful and the staff is really good but the rooms are very small and the pool was really dirty

The air conditioner is too loud!

The Lafayette is a beautiful property. We were after a great weekend getaway, and that's exactly what we got. We booked a poolside room, hoping to lounge Sunday by the pool. Unfortunately, there was a guest DJ, and a few smart ladies beat us to the lounges by the time we got up at 7:45am :) We were still able to enjoy a great breakfast and a few cocktails and dangle our feet in. Around 2pm we were able to score lounge chairs, so it worked out. I will say there are endless things to do at the property (both the restaurant and the game bar were great). The highlights of the trip were taking in the decor and the best Pimms cup I've ever had served in the lounge. All in all, I will continue to recommend it for a weekend getaway.

I love the attention to detail through the resort hotel. Outstanding restaurants and show venue. Would stay here again. Fun place.

Love love love. Took my husband here for his birthday. Had the best time. So cute. So yummy. Great staff. Great facilities. Would love to be able to come again!

Enjoyed every bit of the hotel. The rooms were clean, and had very cute and intentional items for guests . The lobby is a vibe and staff were super friendly. The ppl is gorgeous and we enjoyed the restaurants on site.
