They did not have our 2 Queen bed reservation, so we had to sleep 3 people in a King bed. They did bring in a roll away bed, which was nice but the a/c didn’t work, 77 degrees the whole time, thankfullly we brought a fan. The tv didn’t work.

The staff were excellent. I lost my valet ticket. No problem - with proper identification, we had our car in no time. We got drenched in a thunder shower - immediate hot towels were brought to us. The food in the tavern, accompanied by music, was good. I would definitely stay here again. it is close to the river walk, but not as expensive as the hotels right on the river

The hotel and staff were wonderful! It’s in a great location next to the Alamo and downtown. The Tavern has great food and drinks. Unfortunately the parking situation is not ideal there. There are 2 options one is valet parking for $65 and then there is self parking which whoever the vendor is for it is extremely dishonest with their pricing advertising $48 for 4-24 hours of parking and when you go to use it it 12 hours is $56 and adding another 2 hours would have been $42. To avoid this use the valet parking. Otherwise it’s a great place to stay

There was a smell as soon as we got to our floor. There were stains on the floors and in the hallways. The ice machine from the 2nd to the 5th floor didn't work. The 1st room I was put in, the a/c was broken. The 2nd one had a smell and was smaller than what I paid for. The 3rd and final room before I requested a refund, the TV didn't work and the hot water was a hit or miss. The tub looked poisoned. The hotel isn't historically, it's just old and undermaintanced. The smell of old sore carpet with a hint of mildew was one of the biggest turn offs. It was our 1st time in Texas and I had to book another hotel at 3am.

100 percent recommend. Budget friendly and right next to the Alamo, Ripleys the mall etc! Coffee shop indoors and the Crockett tavern that closes at midnight. The walk to the river walk is very nice as there is security all around the Alamo which is right next door ! I recommend using the valet. It’s worth the price as the river center mall is 50 bucks a day to park but with the Crockett valet you can take out your car any time. Didn’t try out the pool but it is a very cute addition. The rooms are what you’d expect for the price you pay for but it gets the job done and the rooms were clean! Can’t beat the accessibility!

The hotel is very nice and convenient and I got a nice price. Food was good though a little pricy, but I was devastated by the cost of the parking! Unbelievably Expensive and almost unaffordable! Cost of the parking, it was utterly ridiculous pricey!

Easy check-in and front desk is very accommodating. Nice restaurant at the hotel. Walking distance to the Alamo.
-
Very nice, well kept historical building that is in a good location for downtown and the riverwalk. Parking is the main drawback. Plan on an extra $50-60 per day for parking during your stay.

Exceptional

Great stay, room were clean, the bar area had good drinks and good food! Not to mention, I forgot my designer glasses and Laura went beyond to make sure I knew how to make a claim to get my glasses shipped back home!! I give it a 10/10! Definitely will stay again in the future! Valet parking could do better!

-
Amazing all around. Will be back for a more extended stay

Great location, tours, bikes, public transportation right outside. Great view of Alamo outside window. Room itself was decent a typical bed and bathroom BUT the water in shower goes from ice cold to hottest possible during shower and AC was horrible. We had 4 different guys come look at our AC every single one was very friendly but gave us completely different answers on what the problem was, one guy even cleaned out the pipes from the rooms ceiling and NOTHING worked for 5 minutes and back to hot air. Front desk didn’t care, not even an offer to change rooms. Offer valet parking it’s crazy $60
-
Historical atmosphere. Perfect location. Best price. Would have liked the restaurant to stay open a little longer- but great stay!
