Because of the oncoming Labor Day weekend prices were a little expensive from what I used to pay, however, the state was pleasant. The breakfast was OK not excellent. I would say if you want a bargain and a decent hotel I would recommend Laurel inn but if you’re looking a hotel with mini top notch amenities, you’re not gonna get them at Laurel inn. It’s the best hotel for the price in Salinas.

The only reason for the stay because Monterey was booked solid for the car show.

It was peaceful, the staff was nice, and the beds were comfy!

Good property

The hotel was nice, i mainly used it just to sleep as i was out at an event all day. The room i stayed in was handicap accessible which i did not need nor do i know if this is every room but I felt like that was a plus. Will definitely book again if I’m in the area again

Pool water was green & unmaintained. The free breakfast was poor.

It’s an older place that has been updated over the years. It’s an OK place to stay for a day or two. Conveniently located just off the highway, but still quiet. Breakfast is basically a toaster with bagels, French toast, and bread. Yogurt cups, coffee and juice. The nightly rate was the lowest in the area.

While clean room was in desperate need of paint and floors damaged

Overall it was a nice place. Had to go to the office the first night to get towels, our room had none. We asked to have someone come in to fix the curtains as they didn’t close properly, no one came the next day while we were out to fix this. Breakfast items were okay; eggs, sausage one day bacon the next. Bagels, muffins, toaster waffles, yogurt, etc. Coffee was not good, too weak for me.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. We changed rooms because the first one was filthy, the sheets had hair on them and shoe footprints. The carpet was stained beyond sanitary, we were afraid to take our shoes off. The curtains were broken and unable to close. There were stains and splatters on the wall. The whole property was over all unmaintained. We found the ice machine on the first floor. Had garbage in it and was just filthy and disgusting, then we found out there was a better, working ice machine by the pool. The second room was only a little bit better than the room we switched from. We expected a lot more considering how much it cost to stay at this hotel, we were very disappointed and will not return.

Convenient location, clean and comfortable beds

The room i booked was big but it was dirty the sheets were stained there were hairs on the towels and floor and inside the shower, there was a smell to the room and it was very stuffy, the beda and pillow were very uncomfortable i woke up with neck pain and headache it was very difficult to sleep, there is alot of outside noise which made even more difficult to get some rest. There was a heater in our room that made alot of noise too. So it was not a restful night at all.

Room was old, carpets dirty, shower leaked. It appeared more to be a place local farmers lived instead of a place for travellers. There were always people lingering in the carpark. Breakfast was less than mediocre. It’s hard to find a positive for this stay unfortunately. Would not return.

Only issue was the pool towels. Breakfast was right on point.

Friendly staff, easy check in

The room was ok but the ac had a burned power plugged so it was not working. Saturday night was very noisy, people were out in the pool passed 9 pm and making a lot of noose/yelling, hard to go to sleep. Breakfast was decent, they had eggs and sausage on Saturday and Monday morning with yogurt, bread, cereal, apple and orange juice. Coffee
