Motel 6 Rockford, IL

The heating/cooling unit was stuck on high, so was very noisy.

The room was ok. We had a jacuzzi suite. The tub worked as it should. The shower in the bathroom had little to no water pressure. The room was clean. Not a complaint, but definitely could use a chair in the room. A chair besides the desk chair. But overall it was ok.

The guy at check-in has a terrible attitude. You hand him id in his hand he slaps it back down on the counter as well as the key card. Very snippy with answers to questions and there was blood on the sheets

Old building wals were dirty felt like I was in a dungeon and it was noisy people upstairs stomping doors slamming all night

The room was old and dirty felt like I was in a dungeon couldn't wait to leave almost felt like sleeping in my car.

It was a mess. Room smelled like a litter box, hallways smelled like weed, air conditioning didn't work and fire alarm kept buzzing cause battery needed replacement.

Friendly staff

Air conditioning worked great, had decent parking, the room was nicer than expected, and staff were nice and quick.

Otherwise it was ok.

Everything. Black mold in shower. No hot water.

How clean it is

This was just a stop over less than 12 hours. The room only appeared clean to the eye. Hair in shower so I didn’t use it and when I left in morning saw a few bugs. Heavy musty moldy smell and the ac smelled like cigarette smoke.

It was clean. The bed was comfortable. The owner very helpful. However the fridge didn’t work and our food spoiled. But the rate was very reasonable. I recommend it!

But I discovered a partially used soap and opened shampoos in the bathroom, and there was were numerous hairs on my pillowcase. The room had NOT been thoroughly cleaned! To her credit, the hotel clerk did offer me another room, but because it was so late and I was so tired and had just unpacked everything, I only asked for clean pillowcases because all I wanted to do was sleep. The hotel clerk herself, though she did apologize, was cold and very impersonal in nature. Overall, it was not a good experience. I would not recommend this particular Motel 6.

noisy and pet smell in room.

This is not a motel I would recommend to anyone and amount of rooms on sites is not even worth the stay.

Our room on 3rd floor was adequate. However my niece who checked in before us got a horrible room onthe first floor although we paid the same price. Her room had mold and peeling paint on walls and a terrible mattress.
